Hi Jamieson. We use Workfront for all our communications work (internal and external/media/pr/social). We have programs set up for media, social media, etc., then track all our regular ongoing work per quarter, such as monitoring, etc. in one master quarterly project. We set up separate projects for any larger standalone communications plans or initiatives (eg. social ambassadors), but would list them as social media in the program for reporting. We have templates for news releases, media pitch campaigns, etc. The template tasks list out all the reviews/approvals necessary and distribution tasks. As for an editorial calendar, we still use a Google spreadsheet for that, but I'd be interested to know too if anyone has built or is using Workfront for an editorial calendar. Hope this helps.
