Benefits of Outlook Integration?

Hi everyone! My team is trying to convince our IT team that we should set up the Workfront / Outlook integration, and I've been asked to put together a couple of slides outlining the benefits of the Outlook integration. Does anyone have any thoughts on this and some topics and benefits I should include? Thank you! Alex Alex Barnard

If Workfront is your Operational System of Record and your Single Source of Truth, you want to be able to get information directly into Workfront from Outlook without someone copying or summarizing that information. The integration will allow copying that info into Workfront while maintaining the details of who that information came from and when.

Hi Alex! Thanks for reaching out. With the Workfront for Outlook integration, you can t urn emails into Workfront tasks, create new work requests, and assign work to other people without leaving your desktop or browser version of Outlook. Here are all the capabilities of the integration: Update an existing project, task, or issue with information from an email Convert emails into actual items in Workfront right from your inbox Create new tasks from an email that was sent to you while preserving the subject, original text, and attachments of the email Can also create tasks/issues from scratch Push emails to Workfront as new updates to existing work items Comment on items in Workfront by replying to email notifications We also recently launched a native integrations page that demos a variety of capabilities for our integrations. We have one video out at the moment for Workfront for Outlook. Here's the link: https://experience.workfront.com/s/integrations#ms-outlook As for specific benefits, as Heather mentioned, you no longer have to worry about copying and pasting everything. Here are a few other benefits: It's easy to search for projects. Your most recent projects come up first when searching. It helps you save time. You can see who responds to requests and updates projects. It increases visibility. You can utilize custom forms to specify the nature of your requests. It allows you to tailor your work to your needs. You are able to segment your work into portfolios. It keeps you organized. There is a "favorites section" where you can save your most important projects and tasks. It helps you focus on what matters most. Aaron Mendoza Workfront

Hi Aaron, Two quick follow up questions: the Outlook integration is free / included with our Workfront account, correct? Is it possible to have a few people on my team do a trial of the Outlook integration before we recommend it to all users? Thanks! Alex Alex Barnard

Hi Alex, Yes, the Workfront for Outlook integration is free, so members of your team can just install it and try it out. As long as they have both Outlook and Workfront, they're good to go. Here's an article on how to set up the integration: https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Set-up-Workfront-for-Outlook-1163827941 Here is the link to install the integration: "https://www.workfront.com/integrations/outlook" https://www.workfront.com/integrations/outlook Aaron Mendoza Workfront
