We have a custom field "Is this an urgent request?" question that is on each submitted request. If the request is urgent we have a conditional flag that shows on a request intake report and on My Tasks reports for converted urgent requests. I've been asked to replicate this urgent flag (or something similar) in the My Work widget and I don't see customization for the overall view of the My Work widget to make the task show differently to denote the urgent tag. The only thing I can think of is to create an Urgent Task status and I could use Fusion to change the converted task status to urgent if the request is flagged as urgent.
I can show the urgent field flag in the My Tasks widget, but people have been trained to use the My Work widget as the primary work source. So before we re-train users to use My Tasks, I thought I'd explore the possibilities a little.
We're not ready to use Priorities yet and as it looks now, I don't see a way to add custom fields into Priorities yet.
Does anyone see another solution to make urgent tagged tasks show differently in the My Work widget? Thank you for any advice.

There's no way to customize My Work, so your solutions are perfectly valid.
You can use fusion to either rename the task (add the word Urgent to the beginning of the task name) or set it to a particular status (I don't recommend this status solution since that can create other problems, like what if someone wants to put an urgent request on hold).
Or you can train users how to use one of the other widgets in order to better zero in on their urgent work -- obviously this would work well if they are only looking for tasks or only looking for requests, but if it's a mix of both, then that just gets super annoying.
You're thinking along the right lines! There aren't a lot of other possibilities.

Thanks for the input, Skye. I really didn't want to get into using status to solve this for the reasons you describe. I think the Urgent task name prefix is a good solution and I'll try that.
Users are dealing with both tasks and requests in their work, which is why we decided to train users to concentrate more on the My Work widget.

Hi there,
Agree there is no possibilities to edit or customise priorities yet. however, I have task based reports developed my team and have a dashboard for my task owners layout. This is helping my team to look what they need.
note: we can still have task priorities.
