  • We need an easy way for departments to see the work assigned to their users and what is unassigned that their department will be responsible for.
  • Solution Idea: The idea is a lot like the Team Working On calendar, but where we can select the type of unassigned tasks we have at the top (i.e. these specific job roles in projects in this group with the status of this).
  • Solution Idea: The idea is a lot like the Scheduling Tool but instead of listing out individual tasks, the line item would be the project. We tend to put the resource on the entire project. The top section would have a filter section for unassigned tasks (Group, Portfolio, Program, Status, Projects). The bottom section would have a filter for users (Group, Company, Team, Job Role, Name). Again, both could be saved so the person could easily select them next time.
    • Nice to have functionality: If you select the job role for the project with unassigned hours, the bottom section highlights users who are available for that whole project.
    • Nice to have functionality: a grid view for users who don’t need/like colorful visual displays

I have 2 useful reports: 1 which shows what is assigned to each user in each department (shows project, portfolio, planned hrs, task and deadline) and 2 a report which shows all the unassigned tasks for each department. I change the filters on them to amend the date range depending on what I want to see.
