Turning off notifications for documents

I would like the ability to turn off notifications for documents that I may have uploaded to a project or template, but which I am not actually managing. Or would like to "opt out" of receiving certain types of notifications, without having to turn them off completely.

Ie I uploaded word doc templates to our project templates for the team to use, but do not need to know when they use the template and add an update to it.

I uploaded a doc to a task today on a project my colleague is managing, and am now receiving all the notifications relating to the proof comments, as I am showing as the document owner.

I don't want to turn off the notifications entirely, as when I manage my own projects, I still want to receive the notifications for my work.
