The ability to have sub status's on requests and tasks

Description – Have the ability to create sub status’s on requests and tasks.
Why is this feature important to you – Currently you can create a status’s but we don’t want to create hundreds of status’s so if we could have a editable sub status. For example if we cancel a request we would like to be able to have a sub status of why it was cancelled ( Not a high priority, User no longer needs, etc) As then we can run reports off the status and sub status. As of now if we cancel a request, then six months from now we run a report the end users are like why was this request cancelled.
Current Behavior – We can set up custom status’s, but then have to add a custom form with a custom field and the users have to go into the custom form and update that field.
