Quick search function for updates/posts

It would be helpful to have a quick search function embedded within the Updates section on Workfront. If you have a long project with a lot of updates, it can be difficult to locate certain posts.

Currently you have to manually scroll to find the note and you can only use ctrl+f to search if you have scrolled all the way to the bottom and click "Show More Updates" until there is nothing else or it will only search what is currently loaded on the page.

This makes it really difficult and inconvenient to quickly locate a conversation when you need to reference it.

Maybe my workaround will help you in the meantime.

I built a Notes report, titled it "Note Search" and put it on a dashboard. I then added that dashboard to our project layout so that within each project's left side tabs, it's there to be able to run it when needing to search for system or user updates.

We then do not have to manually scroll or ctrl+f to locate/find what we are looking for.
The report has prompts to search for system or user updates -- System updates (Audit Text) and user updates (Note Text).

Hope this helps. : )

Hi @kmcgloth ,

Workfront is working on a new updates experience right now, and they're looking for feedback.  I talked to one of the UX Designers today, and she brought up updates searching.  I recommend you sign up for a session.  The post is here.
