Multi-Year Comparison Reports

I'd like the ability to compare two reports together on the same dashboard/report. Specifically I'd like the ability to pick our projects for the prior year and compare to what's happening in the current year. For example, I'd like to know if our workload increased during the same periods from prior years.

This in my opinion is how the dashboard area should be configurable - more than 'just' a series of reports.
