Layout templates for projects instead of users

In our instance, we have some projects that require specific default fields, views, filters and terminologies that are different than other projects. It would be helpful if we could assign project layout templates to portfolios or programs or individual projects instead of users.

Example:

Agile Portfolio:

-Projects= Epics

-Tasks=Features

-Issues=Defects

-Project Custom dashboard= Epic PI Dashboard

Marketing Campaign Portfolio:

-Projects = Campaigns

-Tasks=Activities

-Issues=Digital Content

-Project Custom Dashboard=Campaign Performance Dashboard

I fully support this request -

We use Workfront as our Operational System of Record.   Because of this, our users are in multiple features that we have put together, such as HR Training, Projects, Corrective Actions, etc.   When the user switches to different areas of Workfront they have to remember to switch the view and/or filters.    I would love to see this enhancement.   Great idea!!!

Thanks @ScottMo1,

I was going to mention Team Layouts for @MaximillianFo, but your additional usecase description adds an important wrinkle.

Would providing end users the ability to change their own Layout Template (among a fixed set of SysAdmin defined and "allowed" options) meet your requirements?

If so, I might Know A Guy...

@Doug_Den_Hoed__AtAppStore I am not sure that would work.   My thought path was more directed a "landing pages".   If you clicked on the Company Documents Project, you would have the views and filters already set.   If you went to HR Training, this would have a different view and/or filter.   Today we can handle this through User Layout Templates, but also the User can change the view and filters.   But the issue is that these selections carry through no matter what project you are looking at.   This causes some confusion with End Users until we remind them to change their filters and/or views.

Have the ability to sent these parameters at a Program and/or Project Level would really up the game in using Workfront as our Operational System of Record!!

Thanks @ScottMo1,

In that case, within what's currently available natively, the closest workaround I've used is to create and deploy (broadly) side menus so -- in one click -- end users can switch context for "that project" (e.g. "Company Docs", "HR Training", etc.). Doing so makes it much easier on end users...but harder on SysAdmins, so it's a tradeoff.
