Have a general Conversation

Have an area in Teams or in the Teams Update feed tab to have a general conversation not associated to an object. Somewhere where a team can converse freely to themselves.

Agreed. We use MS Teams/Slack for this, but you're right, it would make sense for Workfront to offer this ability for those who don't want to use other tools.

Agreed. I think it would be great to allow companies to start their own discussion boards similar to those in the Workfront Community. For my company, we have group admins for each department. Having the ability to start discussions would be a great way to collaborate or ask questions to the others within Workfront. I haven't found this ability in the Workfront Community, so that's why I'm bringing this option up.
