Group Sorting

Need the ability to sort groups without having to insert the group field in the view. Since real estate is precious, we can't and often don't want to insert all these fields (one or more data elements used for Grouping) into the view. Need a way to set the sort options for each Group Element at the top or as part of the Group configuration option

In the meantime, here is a trick for you. Go to a field you do want in the report, sort by that field, and then in text mode, replace the field you see for querysort with the field you are grouping.

Example: You want to sort by portfolio name on a project report but don't want to have that as a column. Click on Project Name, say you want to sort by that name. Then go into text mode and change querysort=name to querysort=portfolio:name.

Today, you can only summarize numeric values by count on a report. I'd like to be able to do this for project attributes (e.g., customer segment, target distribution channel, brand), so I can sort grouped items on charts by the number of instances to create Pareto charts. This would make charts more useful to understand volumes of work by group.
