Filter option in story board

In some of our iterations we have a lot of stories so it would be helpful when viewing the 'story board' if we could have filter options. Such as: assigned to me, unassigned, submitted by me, create your own filter, etc.

We would find filtering on the story board very helpful in team meetings. Right now, we just look at lists, which defeats the visual benefits of a story board.

This could be generalized to behave more like the standard task list with a Filter, Grouping and maybe even View options.

The filter should cover anything filterable in the task list view. We'd like to be able to filter by assigned job roles, so that a set of UX Designers (for example) can look at just their tasks.

Grouping would have one option "Default" to capture how the story board works today, by grouping by parent into swim lanes of stories. Some of our folks would like to see the priority pulled out as the top level grouping, so you get own set of swimlanes for Urgent, another for High, Medium, etc. That way they can focus on the most important things first instead of looking through many cards to find the one that's highest priority. Within each grouping a filtered list of cards would appear. So if Task A has two sub-tasks Task High and Task Med, the Task A swimlane would be shown in both the High priority group at the top, with only Task High listed, but then repeated in the Medium priority group, showing only Task Med. Hope that makes sense without a visual.

This would make the story board so much more useful to our team. Now it's just a curiosity that's not enough to be really used. It's so close though!

With the 19.1 release, we have added the functionality to filter the Kanban and Scrum boards by user which allows agile team or users to see only the work assigned to a single user or multiple users or work that is unassigned.
