Expand the character count for the Request Type name

If a request queue name is longer than 26 characters, it truncates the name making it more difficult for users to select the correct request queue.

This would be really helpful. However i found that the amount i am zoomed in on my screen affects this as well. That should not matter. it should spread out as much as it needs to no matter your zoom. same thing on bulk assigning tasks to workers happens.

i've never understood this limitation - especially when showing the feature to a new group of users. They always ask how do you widen the view....

I'd even be curious to see if we as a SysAdmin could create a "Custom Forum" so to speak to replace the current pull down.

The entire request intake interface is in need of a redesign. Some of my biggest asks:

  • Show/Hide/Move Queue Topics
  • Display Description about the Request Type once selected (a paragraph text area where you can inform your requestors). I know the description shows, but it's in about 5pt font and reverse white on a dark background. Barely anyone notices it. I didn't notice it for years.
  • Display Description for Queue Topics - We're currently adding descriptive text to the top of the custom forms, but that's too far down and hard to identify early in the request process.
  • Load Request Types/Topic Groups/Topics on Page Load instead of waiting for them to load on click (Working on your request.........)
  • Type Ahead Search on Queue Topics, with 600 queue topics, forcing users to click through menus is tedious. Type ahead search box
  • Display the Routing Rule information (Default Assignee & Team Name) - Show the requestor who the request will be routed to for awareness.

If any of these already exist as ideas in the exchange, please let me know.
