Description -

Resource Management - Planner feature is an extremely important feature to manage forecast and utilization of resources. In a single view, it showcases users "Expected Hours"(Scheduled hours), "Planned Hours"(Estimates) and "Actual Hours"(Timesheet hours), as well as difference which showcases remaining availability along with resource utilization percentage. We want this module to be customizable to add "User level" custom attributes in additional columns, to track the resource with different geography, skills - availability across geography as well as skills. In general, it will be a good view to have custom fields added in the view in order to represent data in varied different attributes.

Why is this feature important to you - It allows us to have bifurcation by Geography, Country as well resource skills.

How would you like the feature to work - Customizable to add User level custom attributes to enhance the dashboard to showcase more meaningful resource information.

Current Behaviour - It allows periods to be modified, group by Job Role or Project, it also has limitation in showcasing limited values, for instance it shows only 3000 records in one single load and if the data is more than 3000 then the dashboard fails to load and showcases error.

Hi @Aniket21

First of all, Workfront should be able to load heavier data via reports and dashboards, even if it takes a bit of time. This is a significant missing functionality at present.

The importance of this feature must be discussed in a forum since, as we all know, there are many things that need to be improved in resource management. Even some good functionalities have been removed and never returned. No doubt, this functionality will provide a boost for geographical locations and even schedules, which will be a cutting-edge advantage for slick types. Also, a bit of work is needed in regard to filtering options.

Refreshing resource budgeting when there is a change in the plan is always a pain for project owners. Logically, it should work automatically or a tab should be provided in the project title edit area, clickable similar to "Recalculate Timeline," and it should be "Recalculate Resource Budgeting." This mistake is often knowingly or unknowingly done by project owners, which leads them away from a realistic overview.
