Description:
In new document approval emails, thumbnails of the document are not loading when users receive emails through Gmail. This issue appears to be caused by Gmail’s security restrictions, which are preventing the thumbnails from rendering correctly.
Why is this feature important to you:
While the approval process does dictate opening the document to fully review/approve, quickly previewing document thumbnails within emails streamlines prioritization/communication around the needed approvals. With Gmail widely used alongside other email providers, we would like to see full functionality of the email notifications supported.
How would you like the feature to work:
Thumbnails should automatically load within Gmail emails, allowing users to preview proof images without having to manually approve or load them. Ideally, the images should bypass Gmail’s security restrictions while maintaining a secure and compliant method of delivery. Users would still go into the proof to review and approve, but the thumbnails would help them identify the content faster.
Current Behavior:
Currently, Gmail blocks the display of proof thumbnails, requiring users to go into the document to see the image. Even after this, users still have to open the proof in a separate window to view the image in full and approve it.
