Copy story to next iteration keeps updates feed

Right now the only way to extend work on a task into the next sprint is to move it. We want to keep track of the points and work completed in the last sprint, but move the task into the next iteration. When doing this we lose all of the update history but need that to continue work.

I know this is an old post but we have run into the same challenge.  Our best practice is to move the story to the next sprint, and create a copy that is put into the prior sprint for record keeping.  This keeps the all the history with the most current sprint.
