Combine the New Update and Log Time Features

I'd like to see the New Update and Log Time features combined. If i were to click on this combined feature, then I could choose to make a new update and log time or do one or the other. As it is currently configured, you have to click New Update to make an update, then click done, then click log time. Less clicks = happier users.
