This post has been closed as a duplicate. All votes have been moved to the original: Ability to deactivate a Team

We had a reorg in our company recently, which resulted in different team structure that that existing in Workfront. Currently, Workfront doesn not provide any way to decommission a team other than deleting it. However, deleting a team completely removes any records of iterations, backlogs etc.

It will be great if there was a way to decommission a team without deleting it permanently. This way, administrators can access backlogs, iterations etc on the discontinued teams.

Would be great if we had the option to deactivate a team similar to the functionality provided when deactivating an actual user.

This is a huge need. If the software is going to host Agile functionality, they it should also plan for teams to come and go as projects complete.

Currently deleting a team corrupts the historical records of "who (team)" worked on "what"

Our company is currently perpetually collecting deal agile teams, with no way to maintain a clean team list. With the team list at 164, it is getting unruly.

We have department leaving our instance and yet they have lots of teams which show up when you try to tag people in updates. Not a good experience for users.

Thanks for the update. It would be prudent to type out any specifics or concerns over in that request as well, since it has more votes and more likely to be reviewed by Workfront.
