If we can attach a custom form to each issue as we can do today, I want to be able to attach a custom form to each document uploaded so the user can fill up additional information for the document. Hopefully, this can be turned on/off as needed per project or issue.
Done! Upvoted this one for you. This is sorely needed for Tasks and Issues as well. It is a never ending battle on the admin side to check exception reports each week to ensure that when PMs add new Tasks or Issues to projects that custom forms are attached. We rely heavily on this for reporting. It would be SOOOO nice if you could setup the template and/or project so that any new Tasks that are created have the identified forms attached!
This would be very helpful for our marketing operation to be able to use Workfront to manage a content/editorial calendar. We have two custom forms that track content metadata and calculated fields, respectively, and having them automatically attached when new tasks are created would help with workflow adoption and management.
I think the functionality of being able to force attach a form to any object is absolutely needed for reporting purposes. As an admin, I am able to create custom forms to capture the needed information that my management team wants to report on, but if I cannot force attach the custom form, then I cannot be sure mandatory fields are populated, which could create inaccurate reports.

Thank you all for the input on this new request. While we see the value of this enhancement we do not have it planned on our roadmap for the latter part of this year. As such I will be marking this as not planned. With that said we do have an initiative we are planning to kick off in 2021 around the overhaul of our document mgmt capabilities inside Workfront and I would expect this to be prioritized as part of that work.

we have a situation where this would be really useful to have in place (a forced custom form when a group of users upload a document, forcing a 'yes' or 'no' answer - for legal regulatory purposes.)
Is there an update on this? It would be very useful to automatically attach custom forms to documents - Ideally, you could set this up via the project template.
