Allowing Billing Rates to drive key data such as Business Case, Planner, and Utilization (but not limited to)

Description - Workfront has a "newish" module named Company which is how an Admin can manage unique Rate Cards based on a client or project.  By assigning a Company to any given Project.   The basic Workfront platform then substitutes the Company/Role Rate over the Users defined Rate/Role.   Which is a pretty straight forward process.  BUT this data substitution doesn't seem to carry past basic Workfront; When in Business Case and you are adjusting Budgeted hours -- the system ignores the Company Rate Card process.   Same occurs while using the Resourcing Screens such as Planner, Utilization, and any reporting associated .

Why is this feature important to you - Our organization relies heavily on finance data and allows our clients to have unique billable rates.   With this large foundational gap it subtracts value from the platform.  And when told to develop a custom report outside of Workfront, some of the key data points aren't supported by native API.  And when they do this large cost also distracts from Workfront as a Central System of Record.

How would you like the feature to work - In brief, correctly the way it does in the older basic portions of Workfront.

Current Behaviour - N/A

Hi @JohnSe -- been a while, and hope you're well!

Thanks for the heads up on this; I wasn't aware of the disconnect, but will definitely keep it in mind.

Speaking of rates (and the tantalizing desire to ensure Workfront as a Central System of Record), I invite you to review and comment on our AFA Burn Report post, which I think might have some strong crossover in this area.

Regards,

Doug
