Please let us add screenshots to comments or updates, as in JIRA. These images do not need to be revision-controlled, like a document, but we need to be able to easily share images within the team, and would prefer to stop using email or OneNote for this purpose.

This awesome enhancement request seems like it might be asking for the same thing as another entry:

If so, maybe we could combine the two of them in order to make our votes really count?

This would be extremely helpful for our creative teams as well - when we do render testing in our staging environments, it would be great for the team to be able to take a screenshot of whatever the issue is when trying to communicate what changes need to be made to an asset.

Uploading the screenshot to the documents section and then adding an update to the document I think defeats the purpose of keeping all the communication in a single location and can cause confusion and lead to changes/requests getting missed.

I have some good news for you!

I reached out to Josh Boston <joshboston@workfront.com> who has the power to combine the votes on individual community submissions that are essentially identical. He said:

"From assessing the unique votes of the ideas you linked and others I found in the database, the ideas do total over 45 unique votes and I will move this main idea to "Under Consideration" to start our internal review process now. I will post a comment to the duplicate ideas stating that they are duplicates and all future communication from the Product team will be through the main idea."

May I just ask that if this is to be a development that we make it to where it is "allowed / not allowed"??? Though this may work great for many, this would actually work against our use-case. We make it crucially important that all files, images, and documentation be placed in the "Documents" tab. Else we have multiple places to be looking for instructions and we have thousands of people who could be adding to any request. (Again, I like it, I voted it up, but please make it so admins can "not allow")

I really think that having an image uploaded through the comments feed show up under the docs area as well would be pretty simple...

Is there any update on this ? I haven't seen any official posts or comments regarding the status, and just curious what the timeline looks like.
