ability to shorten link url from valueexpression

There were a number of people who have figured out ways to shorten their links on their reports by using custom form fields - unfortunately, the report I work on is not related to objects that can have custom form attached. What I'd like to see is a way to shorten a long link created via valueexpression to a short link eg

valueexpression=CONCAT("https://extraaaaaaaaaaaaaaalong_link_name")

to appear as a clickable

on the report.

I think we are all after more rational/easier to access URL's in reports or when doing our normal communicating as part of a being a PM.

A related request was to have a link that copied the project title and URL to the clipboard as HTML OR have an option to rationalize the URL to something like you see in Jira....
