In addition, we have a custom form on our Documents that tracks certain information. I would love to get that on to this report and make it exportable as currently trying to export any of the information from Document reports just downloads those documents.
Hi Steph, Jessica, Jason, and the 22 others (so far) who are looking for a single report of Issues, Tasks and Projects. Although it might not suit all of your needs, as a 5 minute workaround, I invite you to read and try out our ("your logo") Project Status Report blog post, which -- if not suffice -- might at least help you better imagine how it could work. I'll include a screenshot below.
Since then, we've evolved the concept into our Magic Reporting solution, which is MUCH prettier, too.
We'd like to do this with Hours based reporting. We have the same fields on our Task / Issue forms and would like to be able to have a matrix report on them ( a single report), however, we can't, even though the custom field is on both the issue and task object. The concept would be similar to the "source" field that you see in the hours object when you build a report, basically you could report on any field field through the hours object.
Doug - would it be possible to get a single location for your solutions? I think they offer a great alternative for some people.
I'm coming into this form to see and make recommendations to WF and wouldn't want the votes diluted or split because of external software offerings.
Your solutions are often impressive and are doing things we wish WF did. In this forums, it's these solutions can serve as a guide for WF at times and should be done as a suggestion for them instead of as a draw to other software.
It would be nice to see this in one report - also being able to pull these insights together in a user report would be helpful in assessing if the license level you have assigned to a user is correct. For example we often get people who think they need a Planner license - we've created a basic user report showing last login and # of times logged in total - we put this on a dashboard with 4 generic reports - issues entered, assigned tasks, owned projects, and owned portfolios, We switch out the user these are filtered on when we want to asses how much activity the user may have, if any, that warrants a Planner, or Worker license. we often find people own none of the items above except "Issues Entered" which are requests from the request queue - therefore we can assign them as a Requester/Reviewer only and reassign the license to someone who really needs it.
The dashboard is a usable workaround, but it would be great to see this all in one report - that doesn't have to reworked to see the single user stats.
Thank you for your suggestions on adding the capability to report on multiple objects within the same report.
As one might imagine, this capability has various facets for many different customers that address specific use cases to enable organizations to effectively monitor, analyze, and update data across the Workfront solution. Beyond the comments within this feature request, we have engaged with many customers to drill deeper into their specific requirements and will continue to do so over the next several months. Simultaneously, we are analyzing our existing reporting technology infrastructure and our long term vision for reporting within Workfront. We are eager to move forward on this initiative and will continue to keep this forum up to date as we identify specific capabilities and formally add them to our roadmap.
In scope of research for the best solution, we would be delighted to hear your feedback and specific use cases for requesting multi-object reporting, so please feel free to schedule a call on my calendar.
Hi, I want to be able to pull task custom form data into project level report, please add this feature. At the moment it's only possible to report on task custom form data use a Task level report.
