Ability to report on Document Approval Date (with timestamp)

Description - Would like to be able to report on document approval date and time and use as a report prompt

Why is this feature important to you - we use specific reports to bundle documents that have been approved within a certain time period - our team then reviews the documents approved in that time period, validates the content and sends them to a team for processing. This process is done three times a week and we use the report prompt to start the current search as the last time the search was done. So if the last time I opened the report was Monday at 3:55PM, when I open the report today I would select Document Approval Date as the report prompt (which this currently exists), between and plug in May 8th, 2023 @ 3:55pm and May 11th, 2023 @ 3:11PM. I would like to be able to see the date and timestamp for this data point within the report, but we can only see the date which does not allow me to verify the data.

How would you like the feature to work - I would  like the time option added to the document approval date stamp

Current Behaviour - today, can only see document approved May 8th, future would like to see document approved May 8th @ 2:30 PM

Hi there! You can use a journal report for tracking the document approvals...
In the journal entry report filters, have journal entry change type = edit

In the columns, add 'document approval > approval date' and then once added, to go Advanced Options of that column, and change the field format to one that includes the time

You can also include approvals greater than a certain date or $$TODAY or any date range, etc. You should be able to create prompts for it too.

Thank you @Madalyn_Destafney! I am looking to also have the document links available from the report view and to be able to interact with the field options from the report (i.e. have my users approve the documents from the report) as there will be multiple items to review at one time. Would the journal entry report still work?

@BrittLewis the journal entry report can show approval times, but you can also do a document approval report. In either one, you can have a column with the approval date that you can modify in the screenshot I posted above to show date AND time not just date.

In a document approval report, which based on this info is what you should go with, you can have a column for 'Document Name' - it will show the name automatically linked to the document in WF. You can also bring in the status column and I'm pretty sure that isn't editable in-line (changing from pending to approved), but the doc link will take the user straight to it. I suggest that you actually don't want an in-line approval function but you want the approvers to actually go look at the doc : )
