We have "hidden" the documents option from the global navigation bar, as we don't want our teams to save random documents in there when they should be attached to projects, programs etc.
However it would be useful as System Admins to be able to customise our set up to show this option, without having to make the change to various layout templates (and then have to manually amend everyone else with that layout).
We could then save our support guides in this section, and give people access to it without giving them full access to the main documents section.
