Workfront Concurrency Limtis

Avatar

Level 1

We are using the new OAuth process to pull data from Workfront using the API key. Pulling data for HOURS has proven to be on the difficult side of things - as the new concurrency limit is 10 - so we can only run 10 API calls in parallel, this takes the pipeline very long to run if we are even pulling data on a filtered view of the last 1 year or so. Does anyone have a work around to this, or have a insight into if Workfront will increase their concurrency limits?

Hi @hishmah

Thank you for your question! The API concurrency limits are in place to prevent problems caused by abusive API calls and offer a seamless experience for all our customers.

If you'd like to increase this limit, it's definitely something that Workfront can consider through a support ticket; however, we require a very detailed business justification along with the impact and timeframe needed for the increased limit to stay in place.

After providing this information, our team can speak to the Engineering team and they will come to a decision. Unfortunately, it's common for the Engineering team to decline the increase request, but we can certainly advocate for you.
