How can I upload a document link from a software like sharepoint? Is this exact functionality possible within Fusion using the API?

Hi @Lawson02,
Thank you for your question! To clarify, you don't want to upload a document into Workfront; instead, you want to upload a document link into a certain object in Workfront?
Yes, this is possible through Fusion. I will link or Workfront and Sharepoint modules below:
A possible workflow would be:
1) Set a trigger depending on the action required and object type working with
2) Add a Sharepoint module to fetch the document metadata and generate a shareable link for a file in Sharepoint
3) Use an Update Record module to map the shareable link from Sharepoint into a WF object (maybe into a custom form field)

Can the sharepoint link be uploaded into the documents tab?

The only way to display the link/URL to the Sharepoint file directly in the Documents tab is through an interactive proof. This may ask the viewing user to sign in to Sharepoint depending on your configured file permissions.

@monicacardoso - Sorry but it is not a good practice to mark the solution correct unless the person asking the question accepts the solution. The question was not about updating the shareable link in a custom field, but rather about uploading it in the documents section, because there can be 'n' number of documents for upload which is not scalable via custom field solution.
Sorry Manish, this is part of an internal process, but I have unmarked it and passed your feedback along to my team
If you want to display the link/URL to the Sharepoint file directly in the Documents tab, you can do this through an interactive proof. However, this may ask the viewing user to sign in to Sharepoint depending on your configured file permissions.
If you want to upload the file itself as a document, you can use Fusion to download the file and upload it into the desired object's Documents page.
No problem, and thank you for your solution. Please inform your team that community members may skip the questions they see as resolved, although the questioner might still need some clarification and further assistance. Please let the questioner mark it correct. : )
I agree with this, I was very close to unmarking the answer as correct because I needed more clarification. I do see why they do it though because many people do not mark answers as correct and just leave the threads as open. Thank you for the clarification, I may just submit a support ticket for this thread as it does not sound as simple as it seems. I would really like to mirror the implementation that I screenshotted as we do not use proofs.
