Re: Target Audience Based on Cookie Value bhawkins - Adobe Target
Another option is this:parametersFunction: function() { function readCookie(name) { var nameEQ = name + "\x3d"; var ca = document.cookie.split(";"); for (var i = 0; i < ca.length; i++) { var c = ca[i]; while (c.charAt(0) == " ") c = c.substring(1, c.length); if (c.indexOf(nameEQ) == 0) return c.substring(nameEQ.length, c.length) } return null } return "parameter" + readCookie("cookie_name");} This code just needs to be added parameters section of your mbox.js library. Just update the cookie name...

Integration Services via Adobe I/O for Adobe Target bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi there, I am having an odd issue where only "User Management" is available as an Integration service via the Adobe Target I/O API. I need "Adobe Target" available. Is there something that needs to be configured to make this available? Thanks in advance!Brian

Re: Read cookie using target profile script bhawkins - Adobe Target
The user. scripts are server side and cookies are client side. Here is an easy example to do this: http://www.testandtargeting.com/demo/cookie/There is a function that is added to the mbox.js at the bottom and take a look what is added to the mboxCreate.

Re: Test page = Confirmation page mBox issue bhawkins - Adobe Target
You need to use mboxUpdate vs. mboxCraete because this offer seems to be pulling in code to the page after it has rendered.

Re: No idea why one experience is preferred more that others bhawkins - Adobe Target
I'd have to look at the test setup but I imagine it is visitor requalifying for the test and since they qualify for the first experience they are sent there. Think of it as a top to bottom approach. As they re-qualify, Target will start with the targeting from Experience A and see if visitors meet that condition. If not it moves on to Experience B, etc.... Copy the test, change to A/B, and remove Experience Level target and apply it to Location level and you are home.

Re: No idea why one experience is preferred more that others bhawkins - Adobe Target
Yes, change it to an A/B campaign from a Landing Page campaign. Also remove your experience level target or recipe level targeting and simply apply that condition at the location or mbox level. Because visitors are qualifying for that first experience (because the targeting is there), is why you are getting so much traffic for Experience A. Either reset the data and start again but better to make a copy, change to A/B and relaunch so you have this data if you ever want it later. Cheers, Brian

Re: How to test between 2 TNT instances bhawkins - Adobe Target
You could force the second property to adopt the first's pcid but I would just update the client id and admin number via an offer on second property. Also keep in mind that you will need to use third party cookies for both properties as well.

Re: Create mbox with different content and tags bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Shane, When a visitor clicks the button, they arrive on a new page. If you could put an mbox on that page, that would be the easiest approach. Then simply select that mbox when you are defining success events within the Campaign. As for the test setup, simply select "Default Content" for Experience A and this will show visitors what is already coded on the site which I believe is Red. Now, you need to create an offer an Adobe Target that will create the Green Experience. Based off of your cod...

Re: Create mbox with different content and tags bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Celt1888, It is actually Brian - not sure why my account says Jon Michels. :-). Can you supply the code for the button here? If there is an mbox on the click-through page, we can track clicks that way but if not, we can add an onclick function to the button. Either way, Adobe Target will be able to easily differentiate clicks on either button. The click will be a success event in the Campaign or Activity. Now - for Multivariate tests, you need at least three elements to test and from what I r...

Re: Create mbox with different content and tags bhawkins - Adobe Target
HI Shane, Not sure I truly understand what exactly you are looking to do. If you use an A/B Campaign, now called Activity, without any targeting applied to the Experience level, Adobe Target will default split the traffic up evenly across the two experiences. Both Experiences will use the same mbox and you would just assign the alternative offer or code to Experience B. That should do the trick if I am understanding you correctly. Take care, Brian

Re: Persistance of PCID and offline data bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Chris, This is very helpful. I was approaching it a different way to accomplish the same task but by loading offline data into Adobe Target. Can I ask how you do that association between Cookie A and EmailA? Do you have a cookie management tool? Depending on what data you store in your cookie (if you have history in store and online in cookie), Adobe Target can read that on the fly to give you that targeting option. This cookie that you manage, if you have a unique non-PII identifier that is ...

Re: Persistance of PCID and offline data bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Chris, Yea, it is Brian and for the life of me, I can't figure out how the name Jon Michaels got associated with my Adobe ID. I've tried changing it and the change is in effect in other places but this forum still thinks I am Jon Michaels whoever that is. 😕Typically organizations don't have tests that span over many months of visitor inactivity but the scenario comes up every now and then. Depending on exactly what you are hoping to do and what are the pieces of data at your disposal, there ...

Re: Persistance of PCID and offline data bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Chris, The PCID does get reset after 84 days of inactivity which is more than enough for testing and analyzing results. Adobe Target is designed to be your Enterprise Testing solution, not so much a CRM or a Master Data Management platform. That said, you have many ways showing different experiences to your visitors via Adobe Target by way of the Single Customer View. Depending on the scenario or desired setup, you can leverage Adobe Target APIs or Adobe Target plug-ins to get data into your ...

Re: Is there a way to load Adobe Test & Target data into Tableau for reporting/analysis? bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Christy,You can use the Target plugin's to disseminate information to any system in real time. In fact, this is the method by which Adobe Target communicates with SiteCatalyst. If you can configure a data set that gets consumed into Tableau, to accept data on the fly, then the plugin functionality will do the trick. The plugin functionality within Adobe Target can simply be JavaScript that is executed client side whenever a "display mbox" (an mbox used in a test Experience), or for all mboxes...

Re: Capture Form-field Value using Script Profile bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi there, Plug-ins are snippets of code that you want to run alongside any and all tests or with mboxes for that matter. They are independent of all test which is the key benefit. While offers are used to generate a plug-in it is best to think of offers solely as code that you would use in a campaign. Debugging plugins is accomplished much the same way you would debug an offer (content used in a test). You can simply identify any javascript errors and address as needed. If you look at the mbox r...

Re: Capture Form-field Value using Script Profile bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi there, Profile attributes such as the user. ones that you are highlighting are able to set profile attributes based on information passed or collected by the mbox itself. The mbox sees the referring URL, current URL, and anything else passed to it. Take a look at the mbox on this page and on the submit page. It might be getting the Country ID via a referring URL but doubtful. If so you are home. The other option and more to the heart of your question is to use the Target Plug-ins. These run i...

Re: QA links in Target Standard bhawkins - Adobe Target
Hi Liz, It seems you may not have the most current mbox.js version for Adobe Standard in place but no worry at all. Simply use the code below in an HTML offer with Target Classic and you will be all set:"#primarynavigation_0_OuterRepeater_ctl02_liPrimaryNavigation {visibility:hidden !important}(function($){var c=function(s,f){if($(s)[0]){try{f.apply($(s)[0])}catch(e){setTimeout(function(){c(s,f)},1)}}else{setTimeout(function(){c(s,f)},1)}};if($.isReady){setTimeout("c=function(){}",100)}$.fn.elementOnLoad=function(f){c(this.selector,f)}})(jQuery);jQuery('#primarynavigation_0_OuterRepeater_ctl02_liPrimaryNavigation > .contains-sub').elementOnLoad(function(){$("#primarynavigation_0_OuterRepeater_ctl02_liPrimaryNavigation > .contains-sub").replaceWith("<a href=\"/us/en/support/manuals\" class=\"contains-sub slide\">\n Manuals &amp; Parts\n </a>");jQuery('#flickersuppression').remove();}) Cheers, Brian
