@asutosh_jena, I figured that might be the case. I'll ask around at work then and see if we can get in contact with someone at Adobe about the Cloud Service solution. Thanks again!

Hey, thanks for the info. Do you know if the are any licensing restrictions on using the JAR in the SDK as an on-prem substitute to 6.5? @asutosh_jena

I've been currently looking at the GraphQL API in the latest SDK and documented here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/getting-started-with-aem-headless/graphql/graphql-and-external-app.html?lang=en#prerequisites We currently still use an on-prem version of AEM and it looks like this functionality is currently only available in the Cloud Service solution. Is there any plan to release a feature pack with the GraphQL API capabilities for 6.5 and the additional conte...

Thanks for your thoughts and the link to the video, very helpful! I've had another think and was able to get this to work by applying a filter to the nested adventureContributor property. Something like: { adventureList(filter: { adventureContributor: { fullName: { _expressions: [ { value: "Jacob Wester" _operator: EQUALS } ] } } }) { items { _path adventureContributor { _path fullName } } } }

I've been following the GraphQL API in AEM tutorial here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/getting-started-with-aem-headless/graphql/fragment-references.html?lang=en#graphql On the page above it demonstrates how to add a fragment reference for a contributor to an adventure. It then shows how to construct a query to find the contributor(s) for a particular adventure: { adventureByPath(_path:"/content/dam/wknd/en/adventures/bali-surf-camp/bali-surf-camp") { item { _...

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has any additional information about the original request given we're now almost two years down the line. I'm working with content fragments that I would like to inspect via the assets API. We're still only on 6.4, which only supports exposing metadata about the fragments rather than the properties/content of it unlike in 6.5. Does anyone know if there's a feature pack that we can install on 6.4 to extend the functionality of the assets API in line with 6.5?

I'm using the RTE in our text component and have found I cannot add an aria-describedby attribute in an a tag. For example, in the RTE, I'm using the HTML editor to try to add: TEST For some reason, the aria-describedby attribute is being stripped out. Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix it?

I've been doing some more digging around in the JS and think there's a permissions issue somewhere in the mix.I'm looking at the configure button that gets added to the editing toolbar (/libs/cq/gui/components/authoring/editors/clientlibs/core/js/edit/ToolbarActions/edit.ToolbarActions.js):ns.edit.ToolbarActions.CONFIGURE = new ns.ui.ToolbarAction({ name: "CONFIGURE", icon: "wrench", text: Granite.I18n.get("Configure"), execute: function openEditDialog(editable) { ns.DialogFrame.openDialog(new n...

I'm trying to step through the JS code that's constructing the toolbar. The list of available actions that is returned when trying to edit a component doesn't include the configure option:I'm not sure how this list is being constructed, i.e. what permissions or logic is being used to filter it out?On my local environment that is behaving correctly, I can see a full list of actions available:

I thought it might be a permissions issue but I've tried logging in as admin and am getting the same thing. Where were your ACLs set incorrectly? In your code in the apps folder or somewhere else?

I'm using AEM 6.4 with SP3. I'm currently having trouble adding components to a page and editing existing components in Touch UI. For some reason the add component icon doesn't appear on the main parsys on the page: Additionally, the edit component button isn't appearing either: For some reason, I can edit the content in classic mode, so this looks like it's a Touch UI issue. I have been using this author for around six months with no prior issues. This error occurred after a deployment this mor...

Hi, we are currently experiencing some rendition-related issues on our dispatchers as documented here: Dispatcher caching issue while displaying the image renditions in AEM When accessing a rendition using a typical path (e.g. /content/dam/image.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.web.768.768.jpeg) before accessing the original image (e.g. /content/dam/image.jpg), the original image gets cached in the dispatcher as just a folder. It then can't be accessed on the dispatcher.The suggested solution i...

We've had a question from the content editors that I can't find a solution for.When creating test content, they are currently doing this on the live environment. This is because a lot of the customers reviewing the test content don't have access to the author so can only see it once it has been published. In addition to this, the test content cannot be created on the QA environment because the content editors would then need to rebuild the page in live once it has been approved.They are asking i...

We are currently using 6.3 and have recently installed CFP 6.3.2.2. As a result the list view in /assets.html... has changed.Previously there was one field called 'Title', which showed the title for an image and if one hadn't been set, it showed the name of the file. Since updating, this field has been split into two: 'Name' and 'Title'. This is fine, however, it appears as though the 'Name' field can't be used to order the assets unlike the 'Title' field, which can.Is there any reason why a use...

I'm currently developing a multifield field in a dialog and am wondering how to change the property type for the values saved back to the repo.In the JS code that's used to save the values from the dialog, there's this: $('').attr('type', 'hidden') .attr('name', fieldSetName + "/par" + counter + "/" + name) .attr('value', value) .appendTo($form);As far as I know, this is ultimately adding the value for a field from the multifield to a relative path in the repo. It always saves the value as a str...

Adobe Experience Manager Help | Using Smart Crop with AEM Assets Dynamic Media In this video for smart cropping, the tool creates several new renditions that are crops of the original image. At the moment, if I edit an asset and create a crop, it overwrites the original image. Is it possibly to create multiple crop renditions of the same image manually?

I'm aware that the content of the containing tag will not show if the test evaluates as false.What I'm asking is, is there some way of overriding that feature? The a tag is an optional feature in the component. I want to add a test on that div, because if a link hasn't been specified by the content editor, I don't want the tag to show up. Regardless, I will always want the img tag to show.

Is it possible to still use code within a containing div even if that containing tag resolves data-sly-test as false?As an example:I'm trying to show an image that may or may not have an a tag wrapped around it. I have the following code: The image link is optional so some images won't have a link wrapped around them. However, if a link isn't specified, all of the code is removed. Is it possible to keep the line even if that test in the wrapping a tag is false?

I figured that might be the case. We wouldn't normally endeavour to change something like this in AEM but since encouraging our content editors to move from classic to touch, there have been lot of comments about the siteadmin in touch. Most of the editors don't like the way the pagination works (i.e. adds more items as you scroll rather than having links to pick a page) so we were going to increase the limit and add more initial items.Do you know how I'd find the resource type? I've tried chang...
