While you will not be able to do this Workspace, you can definitely achieve this in Report Builder. Excel will allow you to sum up the values that are returned by the report. You can have them multiplied by their instances as well.

Are you sure the filename and extension is correct. How are you creating the .FIN file?Make sure you are not just renaming the file to .fin, and not really modifying the extension.Also, place the .FIN file only after the classification file has been uploaded completely.
