Rich Text in a XML Dynamic Form - Adobe LiveCycle 20-05-2008
Hi guys,I'm having a problem accessing the property "richValue" of a text field. What I'm trying to do is get comments entered in a text field to be added to a list of comments(rich, text Field), similar to chat window. So each comment added (via a button click) will be formatted differently depending on other form parameters.Using LiveCycle Designer ES to create dynamic pdf form, target version 8.1 or higher. Testing using Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 .All text fields have richText switch on and a...

Re: Lookup data row to populate form. - Adobe LiveCycle 18-03-2008
Hi Guys,Does anyone know how to stop the prompt that pops up when you open a form in Acrobat, saying "This document is trying to access the following database:" then there is info about your Data Connection. It ask you to "Do you want to allow this access?" yes or no.I could just click yes and tick remember this choice. But that will work for me and annoy other users. If tried certifying the document still the same.Is there something I have to set in form to not show warnings or this warning in ...

Re: Lookup data row to populate form. - Adobe LiveCycle 18-03-2008
Hi Mark,The cloning technique worked fine even in a certified form, thanks.Hi NashuaWebmaster, I got my LiveCycle Designer ES from the LiveCycle ES Trail 8.1. You can just go to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/ and go to the "Downloads" tab you will need to login to download. The complete LiveCycle ES trial is about 3GB.You can get lots of help from Adobe Developer Connection, tutorials, downloads, etc. Hope this helps. As for the reason why a newer version of designer is running a older ve...

Re: Problems Installing Livecycle ES in Virtual Environment - Adobe LiveCycle 12-02-2008
Hi Jayan,Please see previous post, I actually got it running.I'm not actually using the "JBoss Turnkey install", I used the pre-configured JBOSS from the "JBoss Turnkey" to do a manual installation as I needed to connect to "MS SQL Server 2005" not the default "MySQL" database. These instructions are available from the LiveCycle website.

Re: Error ALC-WKS-007-043 When trying to complete form. - Adobe LiveCycle 08-01-2008
Hi Roland,I reinstalled to the latest LiveCycle ES Trial instead of the preview version and it worked. Also keep an eye on DB Password for turnkey installation. Even though you can change the password during installation it doesn't change every where. Default password for JBOSS Turnkey is "adobe". Check in mysql-ds.xml, adobe-ds.xml, /server/all/conf/login-config.xml.Also check your datasources in adobe-ds.xml, should have "IDP_DS","DefaultDS".I'm currently running a manual configuration of Live...

Re: Jboss service missing - Adobe LiveCycle 15-11-2007
Hi Michel,I've managed to get LiveCycle ES Preview to Install on VMWare using a Windows 2003 Server virtual machine. But I switched to MS Virtual Server not because of any issue, just that's what we ended up using that at work. Also had less problems switching to LiveCycle ES Trial.I think you may be having problems with the datasources in server/all/deploy/adobe-ds.xml Make sure you have correct database setting and user and password in all the datasources. What is the error in the log file? (pa...

Re: Problems Installing Livecycle ES in Virtual Environment - Adobe LiveCycle 15-11-2007
Hi Guys,I managed to install LiveCycle ES Trial on MS Virtual Server connected to SQL Server 2005. Also running BAM Server on the same Virtual machine. What I had thought to be errors were normal. After I installed & Configured JBoss I installed LiveCycle. Following the steps for manual configuration. But I didn't run Configuration Manager straight after.I made sure app server running, then copied SQL Driver sqljdbc.jar to [LiveCycle root]/lib/db/.Then start Configuration Manager, run through to T...

Re: Problems Installing Livecycle ES in Virtual Environment - Adobe LiveCycle 08-11-2007
Hi Guys,I managed to install "PreConfigure JBoss" Using instruction from "Preparing to install LiveCycle ES". I had to modify the adobe-ds.xml by replicating the IDP_DS JNDI and renaming to DefaultDS.Restarted connects to SQL Server 2005 on another Virtual Machine(VM).It only creates the following tables:]HILOSEQUENCESJMS_MESSAGESJMS_ROLESJMS_SUBSCRIPTIONSJMS_TRANSACTIONSJMS_USERSTIMERSI assume this is correct at this stage because I get no errors in the log.I continue to install LiveCycle ES by...

Re: Problems Installing Livecycle ES in Virtual Environment - Adobe LiveCycle 06-11-2007
Hi Guys,1. Has been resolved. Problem was Acrobat didn't like the Virtual Machine been configured with a SCSI Virtual Controller. Changed to a IDE Controller using the same virtual disk and Acrobat works fine. Don't know why but it works. May Acrobat don't like being install on a SCSI C:\ Drive.2.I managed to install "PreConfigured JBoss" manually. Need to add a JNDI "DefaultDS" to adobe-ds.xml . It connects to my SQL Server 2005, and created 7 tables in the database.Still having issues configur...
