I get this error on a computer that has both Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0 and Adobe Reader 9.0 installed. Invariably someone will sit down at this computer when the update manager sees a new version (like 9.0 or X) of the Reader that's available and says "OK" to the prompts to install. And then this new (Reader) version will grab the mime/file extension association for PDF/FDF documents. Result?
