Thank you for your responses. For thejQuery('.storeLocatorFormSubmit')I am trying to bind a click function to a button once the form is being submitted. I gave another shot to use the keyword "jQuery" rather than "$" and it now works as expected.

I think that the $ is valid if the Jquery code is located inside the script tag () but AEM does not recognized it if the code is on its external javascript file. Please correct me on this one.

Thank you for the quick response, yes I tried the tutorial based on the given article. But for clarification the jquery code is located on an external file. The way I setup my Client Library Folder is that I declared a dependency on the jquery library that is already present on AEM.

I am having some trouble on using a Jquery function my js file inside my clientLib folder. Inside my js file the code that I used was:$(document).ready(function(){ alert("test") $('.storeLocatorFormSubmit').click(function(){ alert("Hello world"); }); });and then stumbled on a question on Stackoverflow where it suggest that instead of using the "$" I replaced it the word "jQuery" so after changing the code into this:jQuery(document).ready(function(){ alert("test") jQuery('.storeLocatorFormSubmit'...

What is the preferred library to be used for a Sling Servlet to parse a JSON data coming from a POST method? I tried to use the recommended answer based on this Stackoverflow question but I was getting an error of 405 but everything is ok when I just append the data as a request parameter like this "userName=&password=.

Yes, I am aware that I have to edit the logic for the my custom form action but right now I still don't know why does the POST.jsp file is not being used during the form submission? As per this link that in order to create the custom action type a node has to be created and inside that node there should be a post.POST.jsp. I followed the instructions given and my customFormAction is available on the form component (Please see the image)but the form is not being passed to the post.POST.jsp.

Thank you for the response, I checked the OOB implementation from libs/foundation/components/form/actions and I even tried to copy and paste the post.POST.jsp on my custom form action node, but the post.POST.jsp is not being called during the submission of the form component.

I am trying to do a custom action type for my component form, I have been following the tutorial based on the documents : https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/develop/components/developing-forms.html but to no luck every time I submit the form the post.POST.jsp is not being called. I tried to use the sling servlet based on the question i found on Stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22344470/how-do-i-configure-built-in-form-component-in-cq-5 but still no luck happened. Thank you for the response, I would like to confirm by means of creating the OSGI Services does that mean I don't have to use the base classes like ProductImporter.java? If my understanding is right the end result of this custom importer is like an AEM Component that calls an OSGI service to parse the csv file and store it to jcr and the stored data on the jcr should match the Product class of AEM so there might be no conflicts, right?

Hi I would like to ask if there are any documents on creating a Product Importer just like the importer being used on Geometrixx Outdoors, the purpose of creating a custom importer so that the csv file that will be uploaded for import will be fit based on the requirements of the project.Thanks.

Thank you for your inputs Lokesh and Jitendra, as agreed by our team we will be utilizing the native functionalities of AEM Commerce API and will extend if there is a need for the customization of the functionalities, just another question I noticed that the native commerce API uses the JCR as the database. is it ok or is it recommended if somehow instead using the JCR we use an external database like MySQL? Thanks

Thank you for your response Jitendra, but a follow question would be based on my understanding Commerce API works well on the existing e-commerce engine recommended by Adobe (such as hybris, IBM Websphere). What if we want to connect AEM to a different e-commerce engine or AEM will communicate to this back end services via REST. Can I still use the Commerce API to achieved the desired result for the guest session? Thanks

Is there a way to create a guest session in AEM? Our project is will be an e-commerce website built on AEM and we need to track the session of the incoming guest and generate a token out of it, in case there will be saving of items on the cart. We need to track this guest session/token so just in case the user decides to log in to our site to checkout those items the back end services can map on the ownership of the cart based on the session/token.
