You can do something similar to what you are trying to achieve by using
the Object "Patterns". On the object properties choose the field tab,
the onSelect event.
I had the same problem a few months ago. it seemed to happen after adobe
reader updated to version 9.0. I found a work around of opening adobe
reader first prior to opening LCD (Version 8.1 ES). Then the preview
worked great and it stopped crashing. It happened with a few different
forms. Eventually the problem went away, dont know what cleared it up...
But I do recommmend opening reader prior to opening LCD.
I found a problem with the script provided by SL Walker.age =
I enter a dob of 03/01/1980 then age = 29, and when I enter a dob of
04/01/1980 then age = 29, but that is incorrect b/c their bday has not
occured for the present year so the age is actually 28 until 04/01/1980.
I do not know the solution to fix this but if anyone else does I would
appreciate the help!
Jared,I had the same problem with my barcoded form. I tried the
pre-print idea too with same results. I found there to be a problem in
the adobe auto generated code for the barcode. I ended up writing my own
code and leaving it in the calculate event and it works great! I posted
a message to the forum a few months ago and one of the experts that
scans the forums agreed that there is a problem with the auto generated
code. If you post your email address I will send you the code I used in

Standard Time)1. How do I get today in MM/DD/YYYY format?2. How should I
compare DOB & today to get age?
Last week I installed some adobe updates, I believe one of those was for
adobe reader. Now everytime in LCD when I click on the preview tab I get
the following message: "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not
be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Please exit Adobe
Acrobat/Reader and try again. Also since the updates LCD seems to fail
and close unexpectedly quit often.
I have a form that utilizes the adobe 2D barcode. I created a collection
and linked it to the barcode. All data from the collection is put into
the barcode except additional rows in a dynamic table. It will put in
only the first row from the table, no additional rows are encoded into
the barcode. I am using the built in functions (unmodified) from LCD
that encode the data into the barcode. At first i did not have the table
in its own seperate subform but then I did put it into a subform and I
