Re: Delay the Adobe Analytics call (after AJAX data is returned) chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
Alexis,Could this method impact bounce rate since there will be 2 image calls? I did this setup on one of our sites and suddenly my bounce rate is in the low single digits. I'm not buying it.Thanks!Chad

Re: Time parting - Rule Builder - RegEx chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
Thanks Jez. I decided to use a custom script data element and get the output to be what I needed it to be. Works just as well. Thanks again. I appreciate you reaching out.cs

Time parting - Rule Builder - RegEx chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
hello,I have a data element in DTM to capture the current time. I would like to set up a classification rule to take the time and classify by half hour. For example, it would take 12:53PM and classify it as 12:30PM. That is, the time stamp was within that half hour. Not a regex expert here and it seems like that would be the best way to avoid building the classification in excel. Can anyone help? Thanks!Chad

Re: DTM | Data layer fires after DOM ready chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
Jeff,The entire data layer does not populate after the load event on every page. Some of the data layer is loaded earlier and is being collected just fine. We have a content side of the site (CQ) and a commerce side. The commerce side seems to create the data layer variables and pass them ok. The CQ side does not.Chad

Jeff,If we implement this way, would we run the risk of double tracking on the page? chad

DTM | Data layer fires after DOM ready chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
In our DTM implementation, we're using an old hosted s_code alongside DTM. We're using a data layer throughout the site, but on our CQ (content) side, the data layer population is based on an AJAX call that doesn't happen until DOM Ready - by that time, DTM has already fired. My pageload rule is capturing everything on our commerce side without incident, but the CQ side will not pass the data in the data layer. We tried delaying the pageBottom call, but that just created 2 image requests. Moving ...

DTM not capturing variables set on page chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
We have a website that we are migrating to DTM and have decided not to move all the variable-setting page code into DTM. For example: s.prop14 = s.eVar12 = !s.prop14 && window['readCookie'] && readCookie("ouid") || s.prop14; // Assume current user has the same account as before s.eVar58 = window['readCookie'] && readCookie("ut") || ""; For some reason, DTM does not want to process that information. It appears to be skipping anything that is an s object outside the s_code that is hosted within DTM. Has anyone seen this before or can anyone offer any thoughts as to why it isn't setting those variables that are in the page code? Thanks,Chad

DTM | Campaign Tracking chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
We have an issue where we're not being allowed to use query string params for internal campaigns because of caching issues. Does anyone have any experience with using DTM (specifically data layer) to populate campaign IDs and assign to proper campaign types?

Re: DTM - Data displaying in debugger but not in Analytics chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
Thanks Sanmeet. I checked both of these several times. On the SSL topic, in the debugger, I am seeing our proper SSL tracking server serving first party cookies. So I am at a loss there. One thing I am seeing, that I haven't in other implementations, is (in Observepoint and WASP) there is a 302 redirect for the AA tool that is redirecting to the https version of the tracking server. I haven't done an SSL implementation before, so this may be completely normal. However, it happens on every page, ev...

I believe I have solved the problem. I had first party cookies set up for a domain that ended .com.cn. When I tested changing the cookie setting to the .com cookie, I began to see data in Adobe Analytics reports.

DTM - Data displaying in debugger but not in Analytics chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
I am working on a basic implementation of DTM on a secure site. When I navigate the site, I can see the data that should be set in the debugger as well as in the browser console. The tool and rules are firing as expected. However, when I log in to adobe analytics to view the data, there is none. I have checked and doublechecked the suite ID and just about everything else I could think of. I compared it to a successful implementation and both are configured alike. Has anyone ever had a similar ex...

DTM - Advanced Conversion Syntax Merchandising chads47842055 - Dynamic Tag Management
Hello,We are trying to implement what Adam Greco has outlined here:http://adam.webanalyticsdemystified.com/2014/08/04/advanced-conversion-syntax-merchandising/We're trying to accomplish this in DTM. We have a script that should work to increment a value for s.products, but having trouble setting the value on the visit entry. We'd also need this to increment in subsequent sessions within the same visit. Has anyone done this with DTM?Thanks!Chad

Re: DTM not capturing variables set on page chads47842055 - Adobe Analytics
Jason,We are not using the "code exists" functionality. We are trying to do as you are saying...use DTM to manage the analytics library and trying to set vars directly on the page in addition to what we'll set up in DTM. This is because we have some complex logic occurring in various areas of the site which are populating the variables and we'd like to keep that in place for the time being until we have time to go back and put it all in DTM.I'll run your suggestion by our developer and see what ...

Alexis,We're using DTM to manage the tracking, so there is no s.t() being set. It just seems like DTM is setting an s object that is conflicting with or ignoring the page code. Thanks for reaching out!Chad
