This looks like a ACS-COmmons issue. I would proceed as you have stated to make this fix.

Having said that - I will also check with the AEM team about this type of component and its use in TOuch UI.

I have not seen too many articles or discussions about using this property to create a component. Even with the use of Core Components - I am not seeing this property used. Also - in docs - it says its use is associated with only a foundation component - /libs/foundation/...

Your approach is valid. Using JCR SQL2. We had written tools in past and you are correct. Depending on the number of user nodes, it May take time to. process the result set.

AS you specified - this looks like a lib conflict on this specific instance. A fresh instance - as you said  - you are not seeing this behavior.To get more background - did this start happening all of a sudden or after a new package was installed.

Can you please post a screenshot of exactly what you want to do. Seems like you want a link on page properties dialog that downloads a file.

I am checking too if this is a known issue.

This certainly should not be happening. As you know - as soon as you a component onto a page - the component should be visible immediately. Are you seeing any log errors or browser errors.
