Re: Navto #anchors in HTML Articles? jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Can you be more specific? It's been a while since I tried this, but I, too, have wished for anchors on navto: links. Can you describe what you were doing that didn't work and what did?

Re: Open article to different object state based on collection jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
The new Context API would make this possible with an HTML5 article. If you can replicate your MSO behavior with HTML, you can totally do what you want.

bug: Android re-enables disabled navigation when switching apps, but now it won't go away jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
We're using the gesture API to prevent the chrome navigation bar from auto show-hiding, and have built our own top navigation bar. Because we have our own top navigation bar, we've also disabled the tap-to-show on the navigation bar. However, if you use Android's app switch button to change apps, and then switch back to the AEM Mobile app, the native navigation bar is now visible, but does not autohide. Tapping is disabled, so it effectively never goes away. This does not happen on iOS.Making matt...

Re: difference between phonegap and AEM - Mobile (DPS) jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
AEM Mobile handles content distribution, CMS connections, out-of-the-box navigation and a bunch of other things. Comparing to phonegap is like comparing apples to the water, earth and air that goes into the making of an apple; with phonegap, the sky's the limit, but you gotta build all of it. With AEM Mobile, there's pretty significantly less flexibility, but you have to do significantly less of the basics yourself.

Re: App install just disappears... jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
sounds like a certificate / mobile provisioning file problem. If the UDID of your device is not in the mopro, it will behave like that.

Safari inspector crashing when reloading DOM on iOS jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Since yesterday's update, I'm unable to reload the DOM in an iOS build via Safari's Inspector. The inspector just closes, whether you hit cmd-r, the reload button or window.location.reload().Being able to reload the DOM from the inspector is a pretty integral part of my workflow, so I'm hoping this is an unexpected bug, and not new intended functionality.Help?

There is no discussion because any information about this provided up until now is almost certainly under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Anyone who knows anything has agreed not to talk about it.

I recall in the updates notes of a release a few releases back mentioned a new ~400 item-per-collection limit. I bet this is related.

Re: Video/Html/iOS jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
On iPhone, videos always play full screen. On iPad, however, you can get them to play inline. This is an iOS limitation, not a DPS limitation.If you want to hide the play button, you can do something fancy with your css like this:video::-webkit-media-controls { display:none !important;}

Re: Why cards, browse pages and banners are not scaling in android - Adobe DPS 2015? jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
What I've noticed is that on iOS, cards default to "full image," even when you've not explicitly selected "full image" but on Android they won't use "full image" until you actually go in and select it in the card editor. Before I click on Full Image, everything on Android looks like your screenshot. Try verifying that 'Full Image" is actually selected. I bet $0.01 it's not set to that.

Re: Digital Publishing Tools For Wordpress error:Unable to parse the manifest file. [IN014] jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I wouldn't have guessed that .htaccess would have any effect on the plugin's ability to get files from the filesystem. Is it actually making http requests to get the templates and whatnot?

Re: Youtube videos continue to play after swiping to a new article jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
One workaround you could do:Using the gesture API, you can disable all gestures, and listen for the swipe yourself. Then stop the video, then hand it back to DPS to let the article change happen.Last time i tried using the gesture api like this for swiping, though, it introduced some weird content refresh behavior. If you want to try it, you can do it like this: adobeDPS.Gesture.disableNavigation(); $('.content').on('swipe',function() { [code to stop the media playing] adobeDPS.Gesture.relinquis...

I used to use document.hasFocus() in the past to do this. However, this no longer works. Not only that, but it's broken differently on each platform. Here's a post from a few days ago where I'm asking about it:document.hasFocus() behavior inconsistencies

Re: iOS App Binary Rejected -- App failed to launch on iPad w/ iOS 9.2.1 jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
In my experience, this is likely a signing problem... If the build is preflight enabled, the app doesn't crash, it shows a 'no content' message. Same with unpublished content. However, I've seen this happen when using the signing tool to sign a build with an expired cert. It will appear to launch but then immediately crash.

on iOS, navigator.onLine events fire properly, but on Android they do not jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I'm checking at article display time whether the device is online or not to determine whether the streaming audio/video content I've included should be displayed. This works great on iOS, but doesn't work at all on Android. This DOES work on Android in browsers, just not in DPS2015.Example:window.addEventListener("offline", function(e) { console.log("offline"); });window.addEventListener("online", function(e) { console.log("online"); });Neither of these will fire in DPS Android.

Re: What are the EXACT differences between Digital Publishing Solution and Digital Publishing Suite ? jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Digital Publishing Solution, also known as DPS2015, is a content-focused publishing mechanism. You can create content a number of different ways, but there's kind of a focus on templates and having content automatically feed in from a CMS.Digital Publishing System, also known as DPS Classic, is a design focused publishing mechanism. You use InDesign to create pixel-perfect layouts that then get published into apps. It's kind of an oversimplification, but DPS Classic is kind of like "print replic...

document.hasFocus() behavior inconsistencies jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Way back during the 2015 beta, I was using document.hasFocus to determine which of the loaded articles was actually being looked at. I used this to trigger an animation when an article came into view. This no longer works, and it appears to be functioning differently between Android and iOS.On iOS, document.hasFocus() is false until the article has SWIPED into view. If you open a single article, document.hasFocus() returns false until you swipe to another article and then back. However, after thi...

Re: Experiences with WordPress-Plugin for DPS2015 jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
FWIW, this plugin doesn't really handle filesystem stuff terribly well. It throws lots of stuff into /tmp and never bothers to clean it up, and is very sensitive to file/directory permissions. Make sure that whatever user your webserver is running as can actually see your template files and assets. On Dreamhost, it's been kind of a major pain getting everything working properly.

Re: Digital Publishing Tools For Wordpress error:Unable to parse the manifest file. [IN014] jerwarren - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Will you post the .article in question? I suspect you're ending up with some funky characters in one or more filenames that mismatch how they're displayed in the manifest. This took me forever to troubleshoot the other day (not using the Wordpress plugin), and seeing the .article should definitely show the problem...
