Hi,I'm trying to run the AEM online backup defined in Backup & Restore - Backup and RestoreWe have AEM running as a Windows Service with startup script located at crx-quickstart\opt\helpers\instsrv.batLooks like when running the Online backup it is only copying files located in the crx-quickstart\opt directory. If I run the same command on a standalone instance then the entire crx-quickstart directory is copied which I assume is what we want. Is there a way to copy the correct directory when run...

Hi Jorg,I'm referring to the HttpClient Performance Guide: HttpClient - HttpClient Performance Optimization GuideSpecifically:Generally it is recommended to have a single instance of HttpClient per communication component or even per application. However, if the application makes use of HttpClient only very infrequently, and keeping an idle instance of HttpClient in memory is not warranted, it is highly recommended to explicitly shut down the multithreaded connection manager prior to disposing t...

I have an AEM OSGI Workflow application that makes a number of REST API calls as part of the workflow. For every REST call I am creating a new HttpClient instance and noticing some slow memory leak issues with this over a long period of time. The Apache documentation for HttpClient actually suggests to use a single instance of HttpClient throughout the lifetime of the application. Is something like this possible within AEM where I could maintain a single instance that can be used throughout each...

Hi,I have created a custom workflow step that I want to later programmatically advance using a custom scheduler so I have unchecked the "Handler Advance" option on the workflow step. The issue I see is that the step after processing is not showing in workflow/instances/server0/[date]/[workflow]/workItems so I'm not able to find it as an "Active WorkItem" later in the scheduler process. Should this workitem be created automatically or do i need to create the workItem nodes manually as part of my ...

Hi Joseph,Actually you're configuration settings did work! For some reason the apache logs with this configuration showed a 5 min delay. Thanks again for your help!

Sure just running a simple HTTP GET to google: AEM log shows the GET itself is successful. I have a apache proxy running on localhost (screenshot attached). Viewing the apache access log I can see there is no connection through the proxy.public class CustomStep implements WorkflowProcess{ /** Default log. */protected final Logger log = LoggerFactory.getLogger(this.getClass());//Inject a HTTP Factory Service@Referenceprivate HttpClientBuilderFactory httpFactory; public void execute(WorkItem item,...

Hi Joseph,Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I believe I've tried those with no luck. Just double-checking though on the Proxy Configuration. For factory, do you mean create a new factory configuration (+ next to configuration in italics) rather than update the primary factory? Thanks,Mike

Hi,I'm having an issue using Apache HTTP Components Proxy Configuration to connect to our proxy using AEM 6.3. Using HTTPClient 3.x code I am able to access the proxy without issue using Day Commons HTTP Client 3.1. However switching the code to org.apache.httpcomponents 4.x I am not hitting the proxy using Apache HTTP Components Proxy config using the same proxy parameters. Are there any other settings that may need to be updated to make this connection work? Is there a specific version of http...
