How to configure default for maxInlineSize for Document objects in OSGI?

The objects of type com.adobe.aemfd.docmanager.Document are a center point for all document processing functions in AEM Forms. They have a lot of built in features. Among them they can hold content inline in memory or serialize it to temp files on the hard drive. There is a default value for the max size that should be hold in memory. It is 65536. For the JEE implementation of AEM Forms, the default configuration of this parameter can be set. For example it can be set by using a system property ...

AEM 6.1 Forms - Set up certificates for Reader extensions: Error occurred while adding the private key

Hi,I just tried to setup a Reader Extensions certificate in AEM 6.1 Forms and received an exception "Invalid keystore format". An error message on the screen says: "Error occurred while adding the private key"I followed the description https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/configuring-document-services.html. I did the same procedure some month ago in AEM 6.0 where everything worked fine. I tested with several certificate files, also with the one that worked in AEM6. In 6.1 they all lead to the s...

encoding issue with FormsService and German umlauts
Avatar

I just noticed that a PDF form containing form data with German umlauts was rendered incorrectly by FormsService (while everything is fine when rendered using OutputService). All umlaut characters were disturbed. It seems that FormsService uses the systems default character encoding which is Cp1252 on my Windows box, even though my XML data file is cleanly is UTF-8 encoded. I could fix this by appending a -Dfile.encoding="UTF-8" to the CQ_JVM_OPTS defined in the quickstart.bat.Maybe this helps s...

Hi Nitin,it sounds a bit cumbersome to me to render it first and transform it afterwards. So I thought there must be some other direct way like usage of specific settings in a xci-file. But if it is the recommended way to do two calls, we are happy to go for it. Thank's for your quick response!RegardsAlex

How to render PDF/A

Hi,we would like to render a PDF/A out of an xdp template and some xml formdata. The OutputService.generatePDFOutput(xdp, xml-data, PDFOutputOptions) should be the right api to do this. The specific adjustments to get a PDF/A should be handed over within the PDFOutputOptions object I assume. The former LiveCycle api had a similar service but the paramerters are different. It supported settings like:TransformationFormat.PDFAsetPDFARevisionNumber(PDFARevisionNumber.Revision_1)setPDFAConformance(PD...

AEM_FRM_001_006:resourceResolver is Null

If the FormsService.renderPDFForm("crx:///content/xyz.xdp",...) is called with an xdp stored within the repository (using the crx://.... path), the FormsService retrieves that xdp from the repository using a ResourceResolver inherited from the context of the current request. This works fine, if we are in a servlet request context. But if the call takes place in a different context, i.e. some arbitrary service (in my case a sling health check service), there is no ResourceResolver. This leads to t...

FormsService renderPDFForm how to use an xdp from repository?

Hi,I would like to use the renderPDFForm method from the FormsService to render a PDF. As input I would like to use an XDP stored in the crx repository. This is a very plain use case I think. To my surprise the renderPDFForm method accepts as input parameter only a filesystem path or a url. (see http://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/javadocs/com/adobe/fd/forms/api/FormsService.html)To feed an xdp from repository into that method it would be necessary toa) load the xdp from repository and temporaily...

The solution is to manipulate the processing logic of the "Email Notifiacation" orchestration. After the task "handleNotifcationWithRenderEvent" all email relevant fields are generated but the mail is not yet sent. A new task added here, can accomplish any manipulation. The tricky part is to get access to the "Email Notification" orchestration at all. In workbench it is hidden. It gets accessible by creating a new application and importing a process into it. Within the import dialog it can be sele...

Hi,when a task is assigned to a user, LC can send nice notification eMails. Meanwhile the content (mail body and subject) can be freely formatted through custom eMail templates.I need exactly this but in addition to that, I would need to change the recipients adress (to-adress) of the eMail. The user task and it's custom template does not support this.Is there a way to somehow manipulate the recipient adress of a notification mail? Here is the use case:We have to create business process solution ...
