Adobe has reported this bug to development, with request number CQ-52808. But I don't know when this fix is included in a hotfix or service pack, I could not find it here: https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/aem61-available-hotfixes.htmlDue to other difficulties with Touch UI we do not use it right now and therefore have no information about this bug.

I'm facing the same problem: we want to render components in a different way in EDIT mode and in PREVIEW mode. In AEM 5.6.1 the page was reloaded after clicking the preview button in sidekick, in AEM 6.1 it does not reload automatically and the value of wcmmode does not change. Is this a bug or as designed?

Hm no, this does not help. It seems the path /libs/dam/gui/content/assets/crop/items/actionbarcontainer/items/default/items/aspectratio/items mentioned in this older thread does not exist in AEM 6.1And also if it would exist: in a classic dialog I can add different cropConfig to each image widget in a dialog. And I need different cropConfigs for different components so it would not help to extend the central aspect ratios under /libs or somewhere else. I need a per component solution as in class...

If I edit an image component (e.g. http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/geometrixx/en/products.html, the "Triangle"), I get a selectbox with aspect ratios (Free Hand, 2:3, Square, ...). How can I add/delete aspect ratios to this selectbox? Thanks,Anne

I'm not sure if this answers my question. The component works in Touch UI, also the component's dialog, the only problem is, when I add cq:actions to Edit Config and use editannotate, the Configure button is not shown anymore. It also happens, if I take a plain AEM 6.1, seach for a libs/foundation component with cq:actions defined and add editannotate instead of edit (e.g. the forms/start component). So a missing resourceType isn't the problem I think.

I have AEM 6.1 and wanna find out, how it works with our custom components. I figured out that in Touch UI the 'Configure' button for components does not appear, if I have cq:actions in Edit Config with entry 'editannotate'. So I'm not able to edit the component. Is this a bug? Or not allowed? We use cq:actions to have a text with the component name in the context menu (for Classic UI) and we also want to enable annotations. Is there a solution to have both? Thanks!Anne

Ok, thanks, I'll wait for your answer.Generally: At the moment I'm trying to find out, what we have to do, for making a many years running application (started with CQ 5.4, upgraded to 5.6.1, ) ready for Touch UI, because our customer says "With the upgrade to 6.1 we want to use Touch UI". I'm still not sure, if it's possible at the moment to have all the functionality in Touch UI. Would you recommend to wait for the next release of AEM? Or even longer?

I want to crop or rotate an image of my component. I only find examples where this happens via inplace editing. But I have components with more than one image, where only one image is rendered on the page, the other one is only shown, if I click on the first image (in a lightbox). How can I crop and rotate the second image? The same thing with richtext. Is it only possible to edit and format texts via inplace editing? I did not find a Granite UI component to use instead of classic UI richtext in ...

What I understand is that Touch UI dialogs can handle also classic dialog definitions with xtypes. But if I have a classic dialog definition with smartimage I am not able to drag&drop images from the Asset Browser. I tested this with foundation/components/image.Is there a solution? Thanks,Anne

Thanks, I know. But how can I transfer content and its version history from one system to another? We don't want to do the inplace upgrade, we want to setup a new system on another machine. I think I could ask the same question for transfering content and its version history from one AEM 6.1 system to another AEM 6.1 system...

We want to setup a new AEM 6.1 system and transfer the content from the AEM 5.6.1 instance via content package to the new system. Is there also a way to migrate the version history to the new system? In older versions of AEM/CQ there was an Importing Tool (http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/crx/2-3/deploying/upgrading.html#Migrating%20the%20Version%20History), does something like that exist for AEM 6.1?I think it is not possible/is not enough to make a content package of /jcr:system/jcr:versionStorag...

But if I want to edit content on the second tab I can not navigate to this tab because the link (the tab) is not a link. Do we have to change the rendering of the component in author mode?

At http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/author/page-authoring/editing-content.html they say: "When using the touch-optimized UI links in the content are visible, but not accessible in Edit mode. Use Preview mode if you want to navigate using your links."My first question: why are links not accessible in Edit mode? And second question: how can I switch tabs in edit mode (for adding content to the tabs), if links are not accessible? Thanks & regards,Anne-Kathrin

We want to setup an AEM 6.1 installation with TarMK, as the main purpose of the application will be to provide content pages. But we know that our customer wants to have some Social Community features in the future. They will not produce tons of UGC, it will only be comments and rating. Since AEM Communities 6.1 it is not recommended by Adobe to still use UGC with reverse replication and store it in the JCR, but one of the storage options ASRP (UGC stored in Adobe Social Cloud) and MSRP (UGC sto...
