What version of AEM are you using? That link is quite old, unless the version you're on is 6.1?

If you're talking just within the Text core component, you need to modify the components policy in the design dialog.

Core Components [Teaser] - Proxy Dialog features do not work

I am trying to proxy/implement the Teaser component into a new component which adds an additional dialog field. The RTE in the Text section of the dialog is not reflecting any changes made to the node. Below is the entire descriptionGroup node. I only have 2 paragraph formats, but it is always showing the h1-h6 titles, and it also does not show the special characters option within the RTE in the dialog.

Re: Core Components - Container | Grid Question
Avatar

Hi Arun,The problem with the Container seems to be that in order for the background to extend 100% of the page, the Container component itself needs to do the same, and since the root layout container is controlling how the grid gets laid out, the grid overlays on the Container, at 100% the width of the page. Any time I try to override, it does not take the changes. See screenshots. As you can see, I want the Grid to be overlayed on the 'cmp-container__content' div and not 'cmp-container'.cmp-co...

Hi Arun,One thing I am trying to accomplish, however, is the ability to have the background color/image of the Container component span 100% the width of the page, but constraining the content area to 1200px, along with the Layout grid. The top image is just setting the content area to 1200px, but doing that does not constrain the grid. Only by placing another container inside of that max-width:1200px content area is the Layout grid constrained.Does that make sense?

Core Components - Container | Grid Question

When using the Core Component "Container" is there a way to restrict the width of the content area, which in turn, will affect the width of the AEM Layout Grid?See attached screens for current vs. desired results:vs.This can currently be achieved by placing one container in another container, but that is not elegant/ideal. The width is being set by putting "max-width:1200px" on the .cmp-container class.Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

When extending the [Container] core component, I want to modify the placeholder text once the component is placed on the page, displaying the jcr:title of the component. This seems to work well when adding just one, however, when I try to add another [Container] inside of that one, the display issues occur:The placeholder titles begin to overlap each other, and there is a substantial space below the parsys area to drag items into the [Container].Is this noticeable to others? I am using AEM 6.4.4,...

I figured it out. Just needed to create another responsivegrid node on the templates structure XML.This will allow me to have the different Title component policies outlined in my original post, which would prevent the inadvertent application of multiple H1 tags on a page.

It would be replacing any references to 'asset1.jpg' with 'asset1.svg' so that any page that used to load the jpg now loads the svg, without manually going to every page and updating the image src.

This is difficult for me to articulate, so I'll do the best I can.I want to extend the layout component to add some additional properties (BG color, ability to provide an anchor, etc). The tricky part I am running in to is I want the component to extend 100% of the viewport, but the inner content to have a max-width. However, I want the responsive grid to only be contained within that max-width, and not the width of the entire component. I've illustrated it the best I could in the attached scree...

I'll try and give the scenario step by step:Content producer chooses "Create > Page"They are presented with the different "Layout" options to choose from Would these just be different templates that contain unique "Initial Content?"They would all then need to have a superType of the application base page component? The resulting page would be of the base page template, containing the Initial Content of the layout th...
