Question, We are currently loading data into Search and Promote and creating Facets / Facet rails for specific metadata. We have a situation where some indexed records contain metadata values pluralized or a 'like' term ie: (facet of 'type' has values of 'hat'; 'hats', 'ballcap') - and when creating the facet - we would like these all to display in the facet value selection as only 'hat'. ie: Type:-- hat-- hats (need to combine into hat and not display here)-- ballcap (need to combine into hat an...

Re-opening this:We created a workaround - and until the time being - all was good. However, we are still having issues with users who 'direct link' to our PDFs using Chrome.PDF's work on our author environment (direct link) - however once we publish - we experience the issue.Thinking this is either related to a Dispatcher setting?Any help appreciated.

Interesting. Thanks for your suggestions.Per #1 above, I do see a slight difference between the site that works, and doesnt. The site that does work has a Response Header : "content-type: application/pdf" value in Dev toolsThe site that doesnt work has a Response Header : "Content-Type: [Content-Type: application/pdf ]" value.I'll have to look into why the key and value are both different (case sensitivity and the extra Content-Type as part of the value)Per #2 aboveFor the broken one, I am serving...

Thank you for your reply.I did already research those 2 articles... however, it looks like it just backs up my thought that we would have to create a default 'viewer' page (with embeded code) and dynamically link to that. I was just hoping there was more of a direct link - but it seems that the embedded code is required to display spinsets.Thank you.

Has anyone experienced an issue with Chrome when attempting to reference a PDF in AEM author/publisher?We built a new internal website with an Author and Publisher only. The site is a clone of our live site (in terms of code / content - no dispatcher tho) but whenever we attempt to click a hyperlink to a PDF asset on the rendered site, we get the following error "failed to load PDF document".I can validate that A) This only happens in Chrome (chrome in browser plugin obviously).B) Does not happe...

Question,I am looking to obtain an external URL that will link directly to a 'spinset' on our published website.(Similar to a direct link to an image)Is this possible? Or would I need to create my own custom template page that contains the embedded code?I am able to generate a direct link within author - but I need something on the published site - and the URL for author preview doesnt seem to work on the published site. Its probably something simple that Im missing....Any help appreciated.ThxJas...

So these folders do not work in any of the touch ui views. However, I was able to view the assets from the classic ui. (granted, this does not help my authors - as they do not use the classic ui)So besides manually going through each node within this folder in crxde - is there another way where I can determine if there is a missing jcr:content node? Would it be just that one is missing - or containing incorrect metadata?

Has anyone else experienced an issue were some of their Asset Folders do not show any media (when navigating through Touch UI)?CRXde confirms that media exists in these folders.Folders were not created with any out of norm special characters (ie: Landing-Pages)There is between 100 & 200 pieces of media (images, pdfs) including a few subfolders within these directories.... however, its well under the recommended limit (i've seen both 500 & 1000 as being the limit)Any ideas?I am not seeing anythin...

What I am referring to is this:User Administration and Security https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-2/sites/administering/using/security.html#ManagingPermissionsIn order to customize permissions (access) to the Authoring environment for a specific group, I was instructed to navigate down the /libs/cq/core/content/nav directory and alter access here (ie: to remove a groups ability to view the Projects section)...If this IS correct, is there documentation that shows what path's relate to ...

New to administrating users/groups.How do you determine what node relates to specific functionality within AEM Author?Currently using 6.2For instance, looking for a way to Add or Remove the ability for an author to "Create" a Project from Tools -> Project. Is there any documentation that links the corresponding Permissions node to this function?(ie: with some trial and error & forum research, I was able to determine that if I uncheck/check the Create at node:libs/cq/core/content/nav/projects - I ...

Newbie here.Question.I know its possible to package assets (ie: images) in an AEM environment - say for moving to another environment....However, our business users are also creating 'Spin Sets' from some of these images within the system. Can the actual spin set creations be packaged? If so, where are these found in the JCR?Thx
