I've this issue in which on the package manager the packages show
installed, but going to OSGI console it always shows not refreshed (old
timestamp). I rmember there is a tempoary folder in crx from which
you've to delete a corrupt installation and then this works again.Does
anyone know which folder is that?
I've an xtype=pathfield but using that it displays image "Title" not the
image "Name". The image title gets populated automatically but we want
it to show the image Name not Title for the authors to pick from
Secondly, if images are getting created using photoshop, from which
property does the title pick up the metadata from for an image?
Have you guys seen that the jar file gets pushed to install folder using
jenkins but doesn't get activated and show up in felix console? Is it
anyways related to acs commons package we've installed. We are kind of
stuck, so any pointers will be greatly appreciated. We are ending up
manually uploading the jar files from felix console (which works btw)
to environments. What's the best practice to have different URL's
configured based on environment. Does anyone have good examples how to
Is there a detailed step by step document that explains how to integrate
Solr instance with AEM? Assume we've a server running AEM some oak:index
configured. Now we get a solr search server available to us.what next?
That's awesome information. Thanks all. The only issue I have with
Sightly is it is very specific to AEM and is not as intuitive as say
handlebars js templating or jquery in general. Knowing slightly also
doesn't help beyond AEM in contrast to JSP which is understood by any
java platform.Anyways, thanks a lot for the input. This is very helpful.
Wondering what exactly in the request chain interprets sightly. Like any
conforming java app server would interpret JSP scriptlets, what exactly
in the processing chain processes Sightly? Is there a plan to have the
interpreter as a pluggable module that can be imported in other app
servers like JSP?
Does anyone have documentation on how restore of pages works,
configuring versioning of authoring pages and how to configure auditing
of pages or where it is configured? For some reason, a ton of pages
don't show anything in audit but out of the blue for newly authored
pages it does show audit log. Where is this configured?
HeyI did try that already, the issue is here the ostype for some reason
is a part of registration process and it gets listed.Try this, instead
of adding this property to the registeration form, manually add property
named "Country" to a few user profiles. The question is in the last step
when I drag the user property for segmentation, this "Country" does not
get populated in dropdown. What steps are needed to have the component
(User Property) list this property? Our profiles are populated using ...
Here is a use case. We have "Country" as a property for every user
profile. Samples USA, IND, CAN, UK.Now based on the country code, we
have to display four different flags stored in a defined location in DAM
Can someone list step by step how to get this done? We are getting stuck
at the segmentation part of it as the user property does not list our
custom country property. Thanks
We've a servlet that does the search. The search executes fairly quickly

We are getting this error in our logs causing the page to load
slowlyCould not find a jcr:content/cq:deviceIdentificationMode property
for page /content/imf/en after scanning all parents. Giving up. Does
this mean we need to have this for partent node somewhere?
Currently we've the following requirementSearch for documents under a
certain path with entered search keyword to be either in document title,
key, description (three properties for documents). It's taking around 16
seconds for this to run. The effective query is below. Any suggestions
what we can do to improve
don't mean to nitpick, but in the code, should we have a finally block
to close the admin session?Reason to ask is, we got unlosed session
detected in our logs and wondering if that is the case since I found out
a lot of code written by our vendor with missing close.More of a
question rather than a criticism
We've used RTE and it's inserting adhocenable in the generated output.
In the logs, we get AntiSamy Warning: "The a tag contained an attribute
that we could not process. The adhocenable attribute has been filtered
out".I could configure Anti-Samy to allow it, but need to understand how
this attribute gets inserted and is it related to analytics somehow?
Is there a stat on what load reverse replication can handle or at what
speed? If we've like 1000 reverse replication requests with minimal
payload (single node), what kind of repurussions if any would that cause
and how to minimize those?
In 6.1, I can't find the JMX bean so i could use the following URL that
used to list the slow running
another bean in 6.1? Secondly can you list the classes I should add to
sling logger to list slow running queries and in general queries that
are running against the isntance?
KunalIt's only if you add a upload file control in the form. else
nothing is needed. Try it out. If you just add textboxes, no changes are
needed. Any user can go and fill in the form. That's the query I have,
if it works without any changes for text components, it should work with
file upload.Reason is forms are marketed as a tool for marketing folks.
Here at our client site, our authors do a ton of authring and power user
stuff. They did all or most forms by themselves but for this they had to...
ScottThis is odd though. If it's not there OOB, the file upload
component shouldn't be under forms since it needs more than a power user
to configure this. Typically we allow authors to create forms freely and
they have no clue to set this up. If we don't use file control, it works
perfectly. Since you mentioned writing custom file upload, how would it
fit inside a OOB form? I can write a file upload that doesn't sit inside
a form. By Default a form handler would handle any data inside the form....
In one of the forms, we added a file upload component. The form works
perfect for admins (since admins have jcr:all) under the node where data
is stored. however, when we upload a file, under the jcr, it creates a
node of file type "nt:file" for each entry folder. Issue is the top
level node by default has jcr:addChildNodes permissions for users
(everyone), but that fails and user gets unauthorized error.I had to
change the permissions to jcr:all for everyone for the node where data
is stored fo...
Scott,These areticles explain what annotations I can have. We never put
"Singleton" as value of an annotation so not sure where that is coming
from. The example I mentioned has just this specified. Nowhere does it
specify singleton. So when we updated it to 6.1, somehow that service
type reads "singleton". Do you have any idea how that could happen? And
I assumed, if you are using services by reference annotation, they would
be singleton, no?@Component(immediate=true, metatype = true, label =
In our felix console under components, we see service type attribute
displayed. It was displayed as service but on upgrading it changed to
singletonI know what singleton is, but I am wondering what are different
types, where are they specified and significance of each Bundle
