Just TBC, are you talking about http://jackrabbit.apache.org/oak/docs/apidocs/org/apache/jackrabbit/oak/spi/security/authentication/external/impl/jmx/SynchronizationMBean.html#syncExternalUsers(java.lang.String%5B%5D)

Did you configure LDAP yet? I think it will work only after LDAP is configured

You will need LDAP configured on the server. Since in AEM 6, LDAP is in oak, it is in a different place.. Search for name "External Identity Synchronization Management" in the JMX Console. Here you will find all the LDAP related operations. The syncExternalUsers([Ljava.lang.String;p1) should provide the same functionality, to sync new users from LDAP.

Do you want to just sent some authentication headers? A typical transporthandler will need two methods. 1. canhandle --2.deliver. -- here you get your content, and use httpclient to push the content to whichever server you want.having said that, OOB handler is enough for you to send any extra headers you want. Please have a look at the extended tab in the replication agent.

You should add a logic in the main page controller to not other pages as partials and just load them in window.location. The routes would still be the same. All these pages should load with the authoring specific js included on load in author mode. I have not seen ur code. But this should work.

In a request filter, you can then set a random number and use it all the way through..? Your filter can haev service ranking as Integer.maximum to come first i think.

May be the current thread id would be unique for each request? Can you try that and let me know if this is not going to meet your req. The reason i feel current thread id would work is, each req is assigned a thread.

I do not understand your usecase. What I suggest is, write a servlet that loads from these config nodes by referencing the service of that osgi node. Then it can return you a json.

For vanity urls, you would need vanityurls-1.0.1.zip.Please raise a support ticket to get this if you cant find in package share.

the vanity url feature is explained here http://dev.day.com/content/ddc/en/gems/dispatcher-caching---new-features-and-optimizations.html.1. can be done by denying every param in the first line and then allowing q in the second line and allowing fq in third line 2. Nt sure about 2. The regex would be [a-zA-Z0-9]+

You can try leveraging http://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/features/delegating-servlet.html . I feel..if you customize it appropriately, you can validate it for paths and apply per side using config factory

You can do this using SlingRequestProcessorService. Please search for this in junit cases in sling. You will find a lot of examples.

Hi Matthieu, Check http://localhost:4502/content/community-components/en/comments/jcr:content/content/comments.social.jsonCommunity-components is the recommended way to use socos. Some geometrixx soco examples are based on jsps. Please refer to community-components. Also This url gets you a very clean json.

Are the product information authored or imported? Either way , I think, if you follow the approach provided at http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/administer/ecommerce.html, you would have the products nodes away from the pages. If you are importing manually, you can use scaffold pages for this use case. Then the actual pages can refer to these nodes. The reason is most of the time , you would update product data but not changing anything else in the page. But any modification to any node unde...

Firstly..when you create a session that belongs to the admin user(repo.loginAdministrative or pResolverFactory.getAdministrativeResourceResolver) Then it is admin sessions. This MUST NOT be done. Please follow the approach that scott has mentioned above if you need sessions. Secondly, slign apis provide all the necessary methods to create, modify and deleite nodes(resources). We should always prefer to use sling apis to jcr apis.

DTM must be preferred as it gives great flexibility when you integrate with multiple items like site cat.t& t etc., Please choose DTM. There is no OOTB DTM framework in AEM. You have to manually write the data layer and export. The analytics framework in AEM is full blown. But DTM is what you should use for future integrations with many other products. The dTM consultants will help with the generic code tht needs to go in the code. But, you should also write a data layer to expose your data to d...

So basically, if they have the same domains, at the LB you can do that. Google for layer 7 rules. F5 LB does it.Load Balancer receives all end user requests and can route each request to either the AEM Web Server (which is running the dispatcher) or the ``Legacy'' Web Server. At LB , create two pools and apply rules. hope this helps.switch -glob [HTTP::uri] { "/content/caselaws/*" - "/etc/*" { pool aem } default { pool legacy }}

I want to understand your infra arch diag for both the servers and LB. For LB --> you just need to talk to your infra admin and they would do. But only if both legacy and new CQ sites have same domain. If they have different domains, you need to use proxypass.

You don't need proxy pass. You jut need a rewrite rule to this.

I dont see a better way.Apache rewrite module can handle a lot of rewrites(more than 100K). It wont affect the performance much. From your requirement, just a few rules should be enough.
