You can use write a listener for each of the widget and write a JS to do the validation

any services is better to be as java package (OSGi bundles). Problem with JQuery would be, if there are any JS errors for some UI bug, then your service might also stop working, keeping services at the front end is not recommended.Security can still be achieved if you have written the java webservic...

Then there would be some issue/error with those component. Are you seeing any error in browser ? Press F12 and see if you see any error when  you click on these components

why do you need to give control of activate / deactivate a page in the 'page activity report' console !!

I see this issue only with /projects.htmlbut I am able to access all other URLs like /welcome.html, /crx/de, /system/console etc..

As everyone mentioned add<script>    $(window).load(function() {        getData();    });    </script>after you include your component.js and it should work as expected.Also as @Scott mentioned, we would write a community article on this soon !
