Re: Long Scrolling Articles on Andriod jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Yes, it never renders. The indesign file I sent to you after the original .article I sent you is a more current file. Though I think both rendered the same result. I can send you the most updated .article, but it would be created from the same indesign files I gave you a link to earlier today. I have tested on a google nexus 7" tablet and it displayed all the content alas a bit slowly, but it did eventually. I also tested on a Samsung Galaxy S (SM-T700) Tab 8.4 (Android 5.0.2) and that page didn...

Re: Android app, smooth scrolling content issue after app submission jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
‌Hi. I also have a very similar effect happening on my smooth scrolling articles on my distabution android application. We had to pull our android app unfortunately just the day before we launched our marketing campaign due to this finding. I have also created a sting on this forum this week. Jeff

Launch web content in-app browser jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi,Is there a way I can launch local web content in the Viewer Browser as apposed to having it displayed in a box on my page or placed inside an MSO that's launched via a button? I understand DPS 2015 doesn't have HTMLResources options, but is there a workaround without hosting the content remotely?Jeff

Re: Grids/layout potential jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
‌Hi. One way to possibly achieve this is to place banner cards that are "invisible" at the top that don't do anything or take the user anywhere.Jeff

Re: Text Notifications jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I have recreated the Push Certs and I still get the same issue. The only difference since my successful notifications were sent is I updated the app in iTunes with the newest adobe build and removed my in-app purchase as we decided to sell the app as a whole instead of using in-app purchases. Could this have done it? I wouldn't think so. Does it have anything to do with the "Shared Secret"? It's odd that I was able to do it (many test notifications sent) until I updated the build to the August 2...

Re: Preview, I have to reinstall the app jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Ha. I was just going to ask that as I have all articles in my top level and have to do the same. It would be nice to be able to update the top level collection. The update pill could show up on the first Article in the top level. I can see this could cause confusion as well however, if the user was unaware of what article is being updated. Perhaps the pill just shows up when the user gets to a specified article.Jeff

Re: Text Notifications jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Good day. That was the first thing I tried was to re-upload the push credentials. Then I tried other browsers and reseting the cache to no avail. I then tried another app I built and had no problem. When I choose Dev or Dis options, it still displays no apps available. So next I'll try rebuilding the push certs. Thanks!Jeff

Re: Long Scrolling Articles on Andriod jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
That is correct. It's an article about 6000 px long and exported as a .article from Indesign as long scrolling (box checked) and set to iPad Retina dimensions of 2048 x 1536 Landscape. Its not the only article I have that does this either. One has a scrolling box of text (overlay) within the smooth scrolling page and one doesn't. I'm using a production build (not preview) with the latest Adobe release. Jeff

Long Scrolling Articles on Andriod jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I have a long scrolling article that works fine on all my IOS devices. But when I preview it on my Samsung Galaxy 7" tablet running Android 4.4.2, the last "page view/or view that'd fit in the screen" doesn't display. Only the top of it. JeffShould look like this:

Re: Maintaining Haumburger Menu jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi. I've done this one way. All articles in the topLevel collection. But then you can't use the update pill when you update content.

Re: How do I update TopLevel Content on my device? jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Got you. I'll try that. If we could of navigated to collections, we wouldn't be doing this work around. I prefer the top level wasn't all article content. lol. I knew you'd mention to use the goto://ApplicationViewState/library as a URL but the last few times I tried to build a button using that action the app kept crashing. Jeff

Re: How do I update TopLevel Content on my device? jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
The problem with a home collection in our app is that we have horizontal swipe locked out and all articles in our collection so we can navigate around the entire app. If I add a collection, I can only navigate to it via the menu as there is no navigation to collections url available. We have buttons on each page that take the users to the home page (article). It's a complete redesign of our app due to the lack of collection to collection navigation. But we still want to use the hamburger menu to...

How do I update TopLevel Content on my device? jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I have a number of articles in my topLevel tablet collection and after I update the content in the web UI and click the preview button in the upper right corner, I never see an update pill in the my preview app. Do I have to have collections in my topLevel to be able to update my content in the viewer?Jeff

Re: Devices – iPhone Build jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
WE are very much in favor of tablet and phone app seperation as well. Not everyone creates content that scales well or is a good user experience on both devices. Especially when we create content with a lot of educational interaction. We'd see it as a high value to have the option to choose.Jeff

Re: Chrome Back Button jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Thank you for this reply Nathan. It's exactly what I needed to pass onto managment to further their understanding of why some things work differently in other OSs. I'm also looking forward to additional linking behavior. I have been asked by many in my organization why they can't navigate to collections. Thanks again! Jeff

Chrome Back Button jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi. Before the last release I remember see the collection name when a user would tap to reveal the chrome. Now when a user taps, just a back button shows up. Is there a way to change that button so that it goes back to the collection browse page as apposed to the last article or last view? It works like this in the Android viewer. Thanks!Jeff

Re: navigate to collection brows page jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Yes, I've since removed all my collections from the top level and placed all the articles that were in those collections inside of the top level. Now I can navigate around the whole app without issue and all my article content lands inside the hamburger menu, a bonus for us. I have created separation articles to put between what were my collections. These articles are basically a screenshot of the old collection pages of our 5 cards and 5 invisible buttons. This breaks up my content in the menu ...

Ok, I was moving forward based on what the correct answer was marked as above,"However, if the collection is at the same level and within the same collection as the article from which you want to link to it, you should be able to use a navto URL with the collection name."

Re: navigate to collection brows page jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Here is my layout:TopLevel Mod1 Articles 1-5 Mod2 Articles 1-5 (Article 1 has the home button for testing purposes) Mod3 Articles 1-5To clarify on the navto:// - I should be able to create a button using the Buttons panel in Indesign, the Go To URL action, and a url of: navto://Mod3 and this would take the user back to the collection browse page of which the article that has the button resides? It still tells me Content Not Found.

Re: navigate to collection brows page jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
I'm building/testing on IOS 8.4 and my articles with Indesign CC 2015 using the buttons panel to create a url button using the "Go To URL" action and in the url link box I'm adding the goto://ApplicationViewState/library I have built it a few times, restarted my device, quit and relaunched the preview app, deleted and reinstalled the app. It crashes each time I tap the home button.

Re: navigate to collection brows page jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Thank you for this piece of info. I have visited your original post and tried to utilize this goto://ApplicationViewState/library in my URL button, though my app crashes each time I tap on it. As far as the navto:// goes, I added that to the url and the name of my article (navto://Mod5) and when I tapped on it I get a dialog that tells me Content Not Found. If it worked would goto://ApplicationViewState/library take the user to the first collection in the app or the current collection browse pag...

navigate to collection brows page jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Hi. Is there a working url I can use that will navigate to a collection? Not necessarily the home collection, but the browse page of to the collection a user is already in. I want to add a button on an article page that will bring the user back to the browse page that article is housed in. Of course if I tap the page, the chrome drops down to display the back button, though management wants a button displayed on the page so the user doesn't have to tap to see the chrome to go back. Thanks!Jeff

Re: Application language jzhang2016 - Adobe Experience Manager Mobile
Ok thanks for the info. Is there a way I can modify the strings to display English only? My supervisor is concerned we are falsely advertising our content adheres to all the languages displayed in the app store copy. (screenshot attached) Just to clarify; when you mentioned Android and iOS viewers are produced with localized strings for all the languages DPS 2015 support, are you referring to the textual content in the viewer itself? Like the app menu, chrome navigation, and cards. Thanks!Jeff
