How to test process with SoapUI?

In an effort to help my collueges I have begun creating example projects in SouapUI that consume our AEM Forms REST services. My problem that I am not able to solve on my own (or by googling) is: I am not able to configure the SoupUI request so that It can send a document to a process that takes List as input. The input variable only contains the encoded "file:" string in the byte-Array. Not the file itself: 3 true false 127.0.0.1///////////10.47.0.140///// ZmlsZTpUZXN0X0JTLnBkZg== 0 text/...

OK, so I can't test it before I deploy it? How do I monitor the internal variables when I test in Livecycle? Are logging the only way to debug internal variables?

Connection to AEM during debug of component in Eclipse?

I'm working on a custom component that I will instantiate as an activity of one of our AEM Form processes. I want to test it as thourouloy as possible before I add it to the AEM forms process. My problem is that I get this error while testing. It comes when I try to run the last result.passivate() command. Is the AEM API supposed to connect to a running AEM forms instance when I test this? If so, where is that configured on my local PC? The weird thing is that I get no error when I passivate in ...

OK, thanks.I have tried some things now and what seams to work is to remove attribute relation in element pageSet of the second form. Do you think that could work in the long run, or will it not work every where or will it have side-affects? This process is only used for Printing multiple forms in one go, and the changes I make will only apply during the "process lifetime" in memory.

Hi! I'm not sure what you mean. Could you give me an example? We have thousands of forms, so I can't change them in the respository. What I can do is to modify them on the fly in the AEM process.

Assembler issue: Masterpage definition in XDP?

BackgroundI'm working on a process that combines XDPs with an DDX and Assembler Service. Now I have come across a situaition where if I combine two specific XDPs (each with its own Masterpages) then the last one (the one that gets included into the other) will loose its Connection to its Masterpage and instead use the Masterpage of the first one. This is also shown when I view the combined XDP in Designer. The pattern I have found is that the problem occurs when a form withut pagination element ...

How do you assign to a variable of type list? The only information I find on lists is how to access the data. Some examples would be nice. 🙂

After som more experientation I found that if I use a string variable to transfer the data it seams to work. I insert it between a start- and end-tag and then use it after I have embedded it in exsl:node-set() to make it work as XML.'{$/process_data/@xmlTopNodes$}'

I can't figure out how to inserting process variables of type XML into XSLT Source templates. I have no problem inserting variables of type String. This is the insert part of my stylesheet: The string variable is inserted and later printed for verification.I have also created a local variable (with same contents as external) for reference: $.Formularmetadata $.Sorteringsdata $.Metadata $.Verksamhetsdata I then invoke count(exsl:node-set()) on both variable in the template, but only the local ...

Hi,Yes, the setup is similar to your example. What I want to do is to be able to use XPath when assigning input and OutPut. I will get an error if I do it as my example in the attached image. This image aslo shows that the input and output of the subprocess is types as Document and not XML./BS

I'm trying to make my first reusable Subprocess. It takes XML as input and generates XML as output. It is meant to use XPath for both input and output in order to make it flexible. Now, when I instantiate it in Another process and try to set XPath for input and output it fails. I also notice thatboth input and output has "data type:Document" instead of XML. I can work around the problem by adding a "Set Value" activity before and after the instantiation and then do the XPath there and just use V...

Today I stumbled on "Check out CVS Project" in the "Cheat Sheets" section. Those instructions and "Click to perform" doesn't work in my 6.1 Workbench. Are they supposed to work, or is this just something that Adobe forgot to remove from Eclipse when they did the Workbench package?

I can't figure out how to capture an AEM Forms process XML variable and use it in an XSLT template. The capture part works, but somehow the processor removes the tags in the variable and only outputs the values (1 2 3) as if I would have used value-of instead of copy-of. The first problem occures when I try to change the administrator password in "Adobe Experience Manager Web Console Configuration -> Adobe LiveCycle Client SDK Configuration". The log shows errors as below. Changing admin password in admin-ui works fine. What have I missed? Are there JAR-files missing someplace? Sorry for the formatting mess. Where can I find a dedailed description of what actions is done to a document when "GeneratePDFService/Create PDF" and "Assembler Service" create PDF/A (1-b) documents? The only information from Adobe I have found says that the document is unpacked and fonts are embedded. Other blogs (focusing on signed documents) talk about parts of the document is deleted and other parts are added. Is there an official detailed documentation?

The machine I have mentioned is only for development. I will initially only send one request at a time and if that one can not go under 4 sec, then how will multiple concurrent ones do? Will beefing upp the HW help timing of single requests or only help so that multiple concurrent request don't get even worse timing?

Apart from missing data mapping I see that the combined XDP nests the forms. The second form is a subform within the first form. This doesn't feel right. Is it the correct way of merging XDPs? If not, how can I fix it?

No, each form is designed with its own schema. Our business systems then take these separate schemas, populates some of the data ond puts them in the container schema. The container schema has a fixed top level hierachy and then allow any number of nodes with the form specific data in the node. It is impossible to move all of this in to one schema.

Yes, that is how we use it. Do you know where the application stores the processes and the assets? Are they stored as XML, or is that only a way of exporting them? I expect that would be the optimal version controlled source since you then could diff them easily.
