Matthew, just saw this today. Happy it worked for you! It can be maddening trying to hang on to old software in new OSs but that's what I will always try to do first!

You can use a web debugger like Fiddler to intercept what is being sent to the server, assuming you are using HTTP submit.

It might be a bit low tech, but i use in-form storage for some forms i have done. I have hidden text fields and built a dialog for updating the textfields within. I never need to modify the actual form in livecycle, i just save new information into it as needed.

Hi there,Hiding columns can get a little tricky due to how data is stored within a table regarding columns...The reason why your column automatically resize to 0.7" is because of the order of columns and the order of widths per column.If you have a look at your table property columnWidths within the XML, you can see how the columns are split with space between each other. Now because you have hidden column 1 and column 2, the first column visible remains 0.7".. so you would have to handle this p...

Hi,Sometimes my buttons go read-only, usually when I accidentally type something into the calculate event, even if I remove the code and put it into the click event it stays read-only, but there must be other editing scenarios as well.Try changing the field to a checkbox, which will allow you to make it "User Entered" again (on the Value tab of the object Palette).Or you could look in the XML Source and see if there is a line like;and remove the access="readOnly" bit.

I dont know if there is an easier way, but I would just store the user data in global variables and just write switch code to copy to the new subforms.

Hi,Instead of readOnly use protected. This will disable all functions of the button and also exclude it from being focussed on when using the TAB key.this.access = "protected";

Hi, You could try this.I created a button to calculate the totals. My test uses only 5 textfields.In the calculate button i had:form1.#subform[0].Button1::click - (JavaScript, client)var totP = 0; //set variable for the Psvar totT = 0; //set variable for the Tsif(TextField1.rawValue == "P"){totP = totP + 1;}if(TextField2.rawValue == "P"){totP = totP + 1;}if(TextField3.rawValue == "P"){totP = totP + 1;}if(TextField4.rawValue == "P"){totP = totP + 1;}if(TextField5.rawValue == "P"){totP = totP + 1;...

MinusZeroThanks for the heads up.I have been playing with it again and used Flowed, Western Text in the sub-form containing the individual sub-sub-forms that I am trying to move.That seems to work on the initial selection and then things move up. However it refuses to work after the first time. I will migrate to your method and try that.Thanks again.

Hi JainSa,If your rows are fixed you can simply add them up, but if you are dynamically adding rows, you can do this.Assuming the first data entry row is repeating, in the total field at the bottom add this code. form1.#subform[0].Table1.Row2.NumericField1::calculate - (FormCalc, client)sum(Table1.Row1[*].NumericField1[*])Whenever you create a new row ( i have repeated row1), a new instance will be created before the total row and the new totals will be displayed when the field is edited.

Hi,I would just add a button with the following code:form1.#subform[0].Button1::click - (JavaScript, client)form1.access = "protected"; //disable everythingthis.presence = "hidden"; //hide this buttonClicking the button will lock all the fields and hide the button. Of course, you cant go back after this without having another button to "open" the form.

I had a look. I have had this problem as well and never found a solution. It seems like a limitation of XFA forms.I found this: There is a restriction in XFA that the 1st Master page definition must be used. Any subsequent ones can be unised ...but the 1st one must be used!Hide first Master Page A further thought: When i clicked the Add Cover Letter button, it threw an error, there is an incorrect reference. I dont think it will help with hiding the page.GeneralError: Operation failed.XFAObject....
