  • Hi All, I'm trying to understand when you would ever use a prop? It sounds like eVars can just be set on everything (page and link calls). I don't see the point where I would ever need to use a prop in analysis... Thanks!

  • Hi @harikrishnadevanabowina , So I should almost never need to use props? Basically eVars for Page and Link Tracking?

  • HI @harikrishnadevanabowina , I understand that definitely. Does that mean though that my segment will capture those subsequent hits or no? The persisted ones? Not just the set one?

  • Hi All, I'm curious when I should be including props and/or eVars into link tracking. My understanding is an eVar can do everything a prop cannot and a prop cannot do everything an eVar can. Should I always be looking at and using just eVars in both page tracking and link tracking?  Thanks!

  • Hi @harikrishnadevanabowina , Thanks for responding so quickly. What I am saying is that if the variable isn't explicitly set on subsequent hits (links, page views, etc.), if the value persists and I have a hit level segment, will it capture all those subsequent hits or just the initially loaded one...

  • H All, Is there a reason there are no instances or occurrences for a Prop? Also, in addition to this question, is there ever a time when you only want to have a prop but no evar, an evar but no prop, or both a prop and an evar for the same thing (an example of this could be p1 and evar1 both = "Page...

  • Hi All, I'll try to explain this the best that I can. I wanted to know if I have a hit level segment for an eVar that is a part of the debugger image request, but doesn't appear in the debugger image request explicitly, if that value persisits, will it include hits of that persisted value? OR only w...

  • Hi @Isha__Gupta , See my screenshots below. I have 6 campaign tracking codes. I want to look at the pages/hits where this value image requested and persists. I think that page views will look at all pages/v7 within the sessions where the v21 persists. I think because my segment is hit level, it look...

  • Hi @Isha__Gupta , I don't want to overwrite it. I just want a segment that will includeall activity from strictly the tracking codes that I segment on the hit level and with the evar that persists until the visit ends or overwritten. I don't think visit achieves this. Hits can occur for persisted ev...

  • Hi @Isha__Gupta , Thanks for reaching out. So what I'm saying is eVar "abc" is a tracking code to identify a particular campaign. It visibly hits in the adobe debugger when a user lands on the homepage from the paid ad. In admin, it is set to persist on a visit, meaning if another tracking code happ...
