Re: How do I add multiple entries in a report prompt? - Workfront 12-02-2021
With custom fields, the list will only appear if there are multiple choices, like in a checkbox field or a multi-select dropdown field. If is a single line text field you will only be able to put in one number.

Re: If you delete a scorecard, what affect does it have on projects that have that scorecard on it? - Workfront 11-02-2021
If you delete a scorecard it will remove it from any projects that were using that scorecard. Any answers to that scorecard would be lost. Before deleting a scorecard you could create a project report with a filter that would show you all projects using that scorecard. The filter would be:Project >> Alignment Scorecard ID >> Equal >> Your Scorecard Name

Re: How do I add multiple entries in a report prompt? - Workfront 11-02-2021
Jared,There are a few ways a custom prompt can have multiple entries, and I'm not sure which way you're trying to do.Do you want to prompt for project name and supply two project names? To do that you would create a custom prompt for Project > Name in your report. Then when you run the report you would choose "Equal" under the Name prompt. You could then enter a project name and you would see a list of names to choose from. After choosing one project name you could start typing in another, and y...

Re: Someone asked me in an email of these reporting classes were new, or the same as we have had for the last ten years or so. - Workfront Archived Groups 09-02-2021
Ahh, ok. Let me try to clarify this a little. You're correct that the Report Builder hasn't changed in a while, except a little in the UI, and this training has been updated to the New Workfront Experience. Along with that update all the courses have been rewritten with more of a focus on the learner being enabled to build their own reporting elements, reports, dashboards and calendars. We're hoping this Beta test will help us understand if our attempts are working, and more important, what we ca...

Re: Activity Booklet - Workfront Archived Groups 05-02-2021
This is a new thing we're trying with the activity booklet. I appreciate your feedback and hope others will chime in. I'm sure we'll be talking about this in our brainstorming sessions as well. Here are my thoughts on it. I really want people to do hands-on activities so they can learn the material well, and feel "enabled". Especially in a topic like reporting, we don't want people to just learn about reporting, we want them to be able to build reports for themselves. After we created all the act...

Re: Creating Basic Groupings - Initial Feedback Post - Workfront Archived Groups 05-02-2021
Thanks for your feedback. The "issue list report" isn't an actual report, but just refers to any list of issues, whether in a custom report, or in the list of issues that appear in a project. In both cases the same filters, views and groupings can be used. As for the name "issue" being changed to "request" in your instance, that's a good question. We could call that out in the video, as you suggest. I've heard the complaint about the "pause to complete activity" being too short from another cust...

Re: Someone asked me in an email of these reporting classes were new, or the same as we have had for the last ten years or so. - Workfront Archived Groups 01-02-2021
They're all new! They were posted on Workfront One about two months ago. These are also different from the previous ones, in that there are lots of "hands on" activities to make it easier to really learn how to create filters, views, groupings, reports and dashboards. There is also an activity workbook provided that contains all the activities from each class that has one, and includes step by step instructions to complete them. We're hoping this will be a handy "example" booklet that you can us...

Re: Is there a way to differentiate a regular project vs a maintenance project. I am looking to create a seperate report for the two types but not sure how to flag them to begin with. - Workfront 27-10-2020
Another way is to create a custom field with a dropdown field containing those two project types: maintenance and regular. This will be reportable. This could be a preferred approach if you have maintenance or regular projects across various programs or portfolios.
